Must use open source Gapps. only correct firmwear by Psy-man (see my earlier idiots guide) and only firmwear then rom then pico x64 official gapps. No kernels no supersu no magisk of any kind until after its booted.

I experienced stalls in set up an a lot of set up errors

also I found I had to format data before I installed anything which completely wipes your whole rom

also

after installation via twrp please do not wipe cache. Just a plain reboot :)

Took me 2 days lol. What a lot of senior members here forget is that not everyone can do what they do. I mean has the skill to write roms and things.

I am not a noob but compared to developers I am a noob lol

I don't know the difference between Lineage and Cosmic but on Cosmic there is no issue with the camera and also Gcam...

I have problem with touchscreen when i play mobile legends cannot control touchscreen sometimes any solution i try rom RR same condition too

Hi
All good, but rear camera do not work propely. When taking a picture, the central part a picture became larger and saving thus.Front camera is working normally.Rear camera (by Aida64): 22,6 MP resolution,focal lenght 4.06 mm

root not installed but apps report as installed

I have a Mi Note 2 installed with;
twrp-3.2.1-0-scorpio.img
lineage-15.1-20180515-nightly-scorpio-signed.zip
open_gapps-arm64-8.1-mini-20180521.zip

When I install some apps such as a banking app like Barclays, they say device is rooted.

I installed rootchecker advanced and it reports root is not installed.

I did a device reset but I still get "device rooted" and rootchecker reports "root is not installed"

Can someone advise what I need to fix this please.

Change banks? Use cryptomonnaies like Bitcoin?
No seriously, install Magisk and try to hide the root with "Magisk Hide" and you might manage to install your application.

    LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.1 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    Reporting Bugs

    DO NOT Report bugs if you're running a custom kernel or you installed Xposed
    Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
    If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
    If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
