@ave20 @DiamondJohn

It seems to me that this is not the right place for this type of conversation.
Each of the roms, literally EVERYONE is based on a source such as from kyasu on github. Each rom being created at the same time using the same source will have identical errors because they are in code from, for example, kyasu. Soon there will be an update here, which should overcome these errors.
Awesome. I guess thats why 14,15.1 LOS and kyasu ROM's all has this issue. 13.1 was just fine tho.
Custom ROM's have theirs own issues, just like official ROM's :)

Thank You for Your time :)

Ending Support

I would like to thank everyone for the use of My roms, but today I sold my Samsung Galaxy S4, which means I have no further support for S4. The only way out of this situation is a person who is able to sacrifice himself and test new compilations.

Thank you all in advance, Regards. :)

If your willing to still spend the time, someone could send you a spare S4. I know I have an extra, but sorry to say, its not a "spare". I actually got one off eBay for only a little more than the price of a battery.

But that's a really big ask, in my opinion.

…by modifying my doze settings, I went from 5%/hr to 0.7%.
And I suppose that doesn’t mean you have to force things like WhatsApp into a sleep mode that wouldn’t let it fetch messages in real time, right? Can you share a little more about your general approach to doze settings and what seemed to make the most sense to you?

My Doze settings are VERY aggressive. I can do things like I do safely, because I do not run any social media, or require any live updates of such on my phone. Also, understand how Doze works will help. If you physically move/touch your phone (eg keeping it in your pocket instead of on your desk) It will avoid reaching/staying in deep-doze. Also, once out of doze, there is a Time-Out before it will attempt to get back into doze. One of the settings I use is to set this down to a minimum so it attempts doze very soon after screen off.

My doze settings (and others I sourced from Github) can be found within the zip attached to this post.
https://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=77783445&postcount=69

Currently I am running my own compile of Havoc-OS Oreo, which by default includes an interface to modify the settings of doze. But I do think there is a simple way to change the doze settings on other ROMs as well. I just haven't had the need to test it as my ROM has the setting built into the UI.

I don't use WhatsApp so know nothing about how it works with doze. Apps can be coded to respect or ignore doze, but I would expect a big one like that to fall into the respect category.

@eccko : I will soon change my phone, would you like me to send you my i9506? For free I mean, and only if you want to keep updating this ROM. It is not in perfect aesthetic condition, but works perfectly fine.
Thank you very much, but I will not take advantage. If you want (and have time), you can test a new build. :)

I appreciate your gesture once again.

Fine, that's ok, I enjoyed so many Roms, it was just a way to put my brick in the wall ;)

If anyone retake the project, the proposition still stand!

About the SMS app:
1. Even if You change the settings from default to "dark mode" it will do NOTHING and nothing at all. You will still have white bg and in fact, not a single layout color will change.
So it is pointless to change this setting.
2. After around 2 months of using that ROM, the SMS app just...stoped to work. When I pressed the icon, whole screen went to black and after that started to blink really fast between my wallpaper and black screen.
Only closing the app from working in the backgorund stoped this madness. But app simply stoped to work and You have to go to phone settings, force close it, disabled and enable it once again.
If it happen again, repeat this process or simply remove that lame app, and install something else, because nothing in this app work like it should.

And there is something more importand in that ROM that should be fixed asap:
- WiFi is disconnecting while in lock-screen which cause using network bandwidth but thats not a big problem. Imagine tho, that You are downloading big file, which can be downloaded "Only with WiFi, so there won't be any additional costs".
Well, once You start the download process and Your screen goes black / locked after some time, in few moments the downloading process will stop. Why? Well, Your phone will disconnect from WiFi (by some stupid reasons) and because You
have the setting to "Download only with WiFi", download process wont be continued with LTE, and this way, You need to keep Your screen waked up through the download process.

How stupid is that?

Beside that, when You have Your WiFi enabled and Your phone is actually connected, after You lock Your screen and leve the phone for few moments, You can see there is no WiFi icon
on the top notification task bar, the phone is using the network bandwitdh and in few secons, the WiFi icon is back on, because phone reconnected to the WiFi.
This bug is old as hell.
I fixed the problem with the sms dark mode, i disable the app and uninstall the app, and then from the playstore updada i install again and untill now is working fine. About the wifi disconnecting i cant say that is happening cause my wifi works 24/7 without any problems, best rom till now... Good work from the developer, waiting for the update....

First of all, You didn't fix anything because there is no way to "uninstall" the app. You can "force close" and "disable" the app, but the app itself is still in the system.
Then, even if You go to Google Play Store, and search fo the app, it give You the option to "Enable" the app first and after that You can updte the app. You can do that,
but even if You do, once the update is done, You can turn off, turn on Your phone and still the app will go into the blinking mode. The dark theme is not that importand.

The app itself is messed up.

All You did my friend, You just did what I've told before, on my previous post - go into settings and turn OFF and then turn ON the app. This method works just fine until
the app hang itself again and You have to repeat the process.
I have to do that 1 or 2 times per week.

But, anyway, dev closed the support. There is no need to use that ROM anymore. It's better to get back with LOS I guess - which has even more problems, but at least
the support is still there.

Have a good day guys.

You most definitely *can* uninstall the messaging app.

As well as "force close" and "disable" (ie "freeze"), there is also a third, lesser known, more extreme state. In addition to uninstalling, which is most definitely possible.

Then, even if You go to Google Play Store, and search fo the app, it give You the option to "Enable" the app first and after that You can updte the app. You can do that, but even if You do, once the update is done, You can turn off, turn on Your phone and still the app will go into the blinking mode. If the app is "messed up", then disabling the app (or uninstalling which IS possible) will allow you to install and run by default, a non "messed up" messaging app from the PlayStore. Thereby, "fixing" the messaging issues in a ROM. In reality, you do not even need to uninstall the messaging app, you could simply install a new messaging app from the playstore, and set it as the default messaging app. That is a basic feature/ability of android.

I have already previously explained, that to theme your messaging app, you use substratum, not the system theming feature. That's how it is designed to work.

All You did my friend, You just did what I've told before, on my previous post - go into settings and turn OFF and then turn ON the app. This method works just fine until

If he has done what he has said, then he has averted the issue, which for an end-user, is as good as fixed. When a ROM is built, all that building it does is compile a messaging APK, and copy it into the system partition. It can be easily uninstalled and replaced with one from the PlayStore, it would also be possible to build a ROM without the default messaging app, or better yet, bring another working one sourced from another ROM; ie similar to installing one from the PlayStore.

But, anyway, dev closed the support. There is no need to use that ROM anymore. It's better to get back with LOS I guess - which has even more problems, but at least

The last build of this ROM was SELinux permissive. No manufacturer has released an SELinux permissive firmware for actual daily use, since Kit-Kat; android 5.0 was fully enforcing from memory.

Thanks @DiamondJohn for the explaining, you did the best with words, and as I said what i did to fix my problem was true.

Sim Card detection Problem

Hello everyone,
I use SHV E330K, After installing PixelExperience_ks01ltexx-8.1.0-20180913-0629-OFFICIAL.zip
Everything works fine except Sim Card, it says that no sim card is detected, I have solved the problem with airplane mode. First put it on airplane mode, take out sim card, turn it off, wait a minute, insert a sim card back, then turn on the device and turn off the airplane mode. This method works until you restart the phone, and you have to do the process again if phone accidentally turns off. How to fix this problem so that Sim card works properly without doing it every time?

Hi, could you or anybody here kindly provide detailed instructions on how this can be installed in a SHV-E330s device? I'm afraid that I might brick my phone since I am unfamiliar with the process.

I am currently running a MagMa NX Rom based on Android 6.0.1.
Do I need to flash any bootloader or whatever file with Odin first before flashing your rom on TWRP?
And what version of TWRP would you recommend (hope you can also provide the download link)?

Because I installed MagmaNX Rom using Philz Touch Recovery (might be equivalent to TWRP 2.8.7.0) which might already be outdated and incompatible with your ROM.
Further, the kernel from my current rom is by gugu0das. Do I also need to flash a new kernel?

You may refer to this link for the original thread of my currently running rom: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-3/development/rom-magma-nx-rom-t3508672

Thank you very much!
