restrict individual app permissions, use greenify, lower display brightness to lowest acceptable level, switch off ALL sensors ure not using (BT, wifi, gps, etc), use 3G instead of LTE, tweak kernel settings (cpu & gpu governors & clocks, IO scheduler, etc.)
