Is there any way how we can get this "Essential notch settings" in dev options for this rom or any other custom o roms? The notch on all apps i open, especially games then the notch is blocking the corner of the screen and its really annoying.. Like that full screen option in MIUI 9 Global.

Switching is not compatble without data format wipe, that fixed it.

data corrupt during boot after successful flash

Hi,
I flashed this ROM successfully on my Poco F1 but in the boot, after putting the decryption password, it says that my password is correct but my data is corrupt which is why I need to reset my phone . But after resetting it, again the same scenario. Any suggestions about it? Thanks in advance.

Try mounting System and Data in Mount tab in TWRP and then Wipe System, Data, Cache and Dalvik Cache. Also I would suggest flashing the latest TWRP with de-encryption enabled. Then try flashing the ROM

The OP says in it seconds post that things going under the notch will be fixed soon. The post is of September 25 so it depends on your interpretation of soon but I think it's gonna take a while.

Hi Guys,


I have the following problem.


When I reboot my phone and unlock it directly with the fingerprint then the apps will no longer work with the fingerprint.

In addition, my phone sometimes just restarts.

Although I installed the Rome via Clean Install.

The system consumes a lot of battery ...

The notch of the notch eats the notification icons.

Which is not so bad as it is known.

What bothers me the most is just that my phone restarts. Maybe someone knows why.

In the beginning it was not like that, everything went without problems ...

Couldn't use the ROM, it's honestly way too slow, unlocking the screen, it responds and moves way slower than Miui.

There's lots of drawbacks when it comes to Miui, notifications are treated in a different way, cannot be expanded, are markes as seen abnormally, and so on.

I'm using XIAOMI.EU ROM and the notification CAN be expanded!!!

I dont know about Oreo based custom roms but MIUI is still fine with notch. You have options to disable notch completely, or to disable notch in selected apps. Apps like youtube, PUBG is perfectly fine. I didn't encounter any issues.
You might feel uncomfortable using phone with notch for first few days (for me, it was about 2 days). After that you would be comfortable with it.

Also, since android pie has support for notch, I think with RR 9.0 and future custom roms will provide features and butterflow experience for phones with notch.
