Bro download apk extractor from play stor. And extract the camera apk, it will be 68 mb apk file. I extract it with es file explorer. But the camera apk work ok on other rom, but didn't perform as good like 8.1 . I tried it.

My current rom is lineage os. I want the gcam only. If you have that Gcam please share with me

Hi All,
tried installing this 8.1.0 pixel ROM to my moto G5S Plus using TWRP 3.1.1 but when I wipe and then try to install in TWRP I get error:

Updater Process ended with ERROR: 255
Error installing zip file '/external_sd/ROMS/filename.zip'

any suggestions? Is TWRP 3.1.1-sanders-r9 the correct recovery for this?

help is much appreciated, trying to just get this back to a working condition quickly, and not spend all night messing with it.
Also, my backups I had previously created are not restoring

Ok, actually, so I searched some and found I was using the 32bit version of TWRP to install the 64bit ROM. So, I upgraded TWRP to 3.2.1-r20 and was then able to install the zip. When I tried to reboot to system, it just brings me straight back to TWRP.

any suggestions??

Use twrp treble r22 and if error 255 u need format data in twrp

Why can't ROM developers be honest in their post? Is this some sort of ego issue?

This ROM has no LTE or VoLTE, no NFC, no Chromecast. These things have been reported in the comments several times, but are not updated in the OP. Are we supposed to go through all the comments before choosing a ROM?

No this is the ROM I use. When I installed it, there were few ROMs that wouldn't bootloop with Magisk, Xposed, and Pixel Camera installed. It would have been nice to know the limitations of this ROM back then.

I recently got my first 4G SIM only to realise that it doesn't work. Then I seatched this thread for "LTE" and realised that 4G is broken on this ROM.

When I started using Virtoo I realised that screen mirroring doesn't work on this ROM. Then this happened. Both cases were reported in the comments. Would it really hurt the ROM dev to be honest in the OP? This is not a commercial product so what is there to lose?

So you're using the unsupported Oreo version? Because this thread is about the Oreo version that has no maintainer anymore.

That is sad. It means they left the ROM unfinished. I think it is more important to release a complete ROM than to rush to the next update.

I doubt moving to Pie will help me. They will probably move on to Q before fixing all the bugs in Pie.
