AFAIK the n910f was shipped with a Qualcomm snapdragon chip. But I don't want to be responsible fo your bricked Note4 :silly:

Before flashing, try to google sm n910f exynos data sheet

Dont worry, it is snapdragon, it is a friends phone so before i didnt know if it was a exynos or snapdragon chip, so i told him to install the cpu z app and it showed that it's snapdragon :good:

EDIT: it seems that there is a charging problem, any custom kernel recommended for this rom???

Force close playstore and clear cache data. Worked for me.

I also have charging issues. Sometimes it charges few min and then stops completely. Tested on original charger. I'll jump into Pie version when they fix basic problems with gsm

I have this Issue too. The 8.1 works a bit better on my phone as 9.0, but the charging issue make me stupid. I can charge only via PC USB. On the echoe 49 charge the phone fine but on RR 6.2.1 not.
Has anyone a fix for this ?

Issues with ROM

Hi,

So, I've been running this ROM for a few months now, and have noted a few quirky issues - one of which is annoying me significantly.

Minor issues:
- Camera app locks up on loading the very first time it's loaded. After app is closed and re-opened, it works. This is a consistent and repeatable issue.
- Phone occasionally crashes/reboots when handling facebook video autoplay.
- Phone connects at 3g at most places it previously connected at 4g.

Major issue:
- The dreaded network drop. A couple times a day, often when traveling (related to tower re-connect?) the network connection symbol will disconnect and go blank.
Entering and exiting airplane mode will not fix, only resolution is to reboot phone entirely. Very annoying.
I've tried just about everything, even picking up a brand new Note 4 and rooting/romming it from scratch thinking it could be my modem on the fritz. Same problem between two different devices.

Any ideas on how to address these issues would be super appreciated!

You know that this version of the Rom (Android 8.1.0) won't be developed anymore right? Have you tried the new Android 9.0 (Pie) version? You may get better results with that one. That's where all the new development will be.

Thanks much, when I have some time I'll start updating to the new 7.0.1. Going to try one more thing first - updating to the latest 910v modem.

Okay, didn't test BT yet but everything else is great.

Yes, its located in a different partition and not affected by installing magisk

If you want use V4A just flash latest Magisk Version, download modul "Viper4Android FX for Magisk v15" and install it.

Why did Bluetooth paring with car not working?
Most car bluetooth interfaces using A2DP for communication between phone and car. At moment A2DP not works really well on Oreo and force crashes of bluetooth app.

Luckily, had worked fine on my setup. Has never dropped out. Even when using the NFC for car use. Just works!

hello i just installed new RR OS 6.0 on N910F, from RR 5.8.5, and the biggest problem i noticed is no sim supported. so i can't call or send SMS.
any tips or solution to help me?
otherwise it's great rom

I have something similar. In fact it is the only thing that is not working correctly. I cannot send text messages. Something to do with the SMSC???

The ONLY thing not working for me is the use of not being able to send text messages. I receive them. That's it. Worked when I had a 3G SIM but not since upgrading to a 4G SIM. Hopefully, someone can help sort this for me and anyone else with this problem.
