That's where the problem lies ?
You should have used the latest TWRP as it contains the fix for the issue.

wait? is there's an update for the twrp ?
okay, I guess I will try to update it right now..

I hope it fix the problem (because sometimes I got stuck on the booting logo and not showing the "insert pattern to decrypt" view

Hi guys,
How is TWRP security secure?
just connect the usb cable in the recovery mode you have access to all the files of the cell in pc ...
I did not like this facility in accessing the files, other person's easy access to your data ...

your data is encrypted by default and your data is only mounted after you enter your decryption password so it's just as secure as the OS.

Battery issue? @rising: it is not easy to verify what the issue actually is, it can be besides the ROM also your personal configuration: some wrong setting, some bad app or a setting of the app and others.
I have had that issue with the RR already several times, and it does not seem that RR is the issue but it was each time some issue with my setup.

The only way to verify if LOS has an issue with battery is the following:
- backup all and wipe all afterwards
- clean instal only the LOS and nothing else
- verify for several hours in standby if there is an issue with the battery
- if not than it is not LOS but a different thing ;)

Please give us an answer how many % per hour it's draining with the clean instal.

Thank you for your suggestion. I'll clean install LOS once again and let you know.

---------- Post added at 03:49 AM ---------- Previous post was at 03:38 AM ----------

Hello everyone. After clean installing LOS I've installed asus pixelmaster camera standlone app provided in this forum. After opening app I couldn't focus manually and shutter speed is not working in manual mode. Can anyone please help me.

Awesome work dude ! Every is working flawlessly, and my device is just as fast as when I bought it.
There is only one thing, one minor thing, the keyboard is buggy wihile the notifications folder is down. I don't know if you understand i explain very poorly xD
For exemple when I get a sms and I reply directly on the notifications, the keyboard is hidden behind the notifications, but I still can type on it, so no bif deal.
Ah and as the previous comment is saying, the shutter time is not working on the asus camera, but overall very good work :)

excellent rom! I've been using it for a month on my ze520kl and it sure is my favorite. I just want to report some annoying bugs:

- Flashlight lights on and there is no option to disable this;
- Sounds bars (equalizer) in lockscreen totally freezes the cell phone and also there is no option to disable it;
- Camera takes time to focus;
- Fingerprint sensor does not work sometimes
- There is no sound when I connect the headset;

and the most annoying at all: the time is wrong. I tried to fix it for the twrp, I cleaned the caches, I made use of the timezone fixer, but it did nothing

and sorry for my bad english, i'm brazilian btw xd

Bug Report
-rom version: 2018/08/11
-kernel version: advanced kernel v1.0
-root: magisk 17.1
-xposed: no

Problem:
-wifi:
The problem is the connection time from the push of the switch until connecting in 5GHz access points.
2.4GHz access points need 3 seconds more or less to get a connection, yet 5GHz need around 20 to 30 seconds.
The problem is the scanning speed or order of the wifi channels.
2.4GHz access points get displayed almost immediately and 5GHz ones need around 15 sec until you see them on the list.
I tested couple of thinks before i posting here:
-clean the network settings, remembered networks
-restored files under /data/misc/wifi to the factory default
-clean data, dalvik, cache
-reinstall
The solution probably is to change to be made into the scanning time, or channel hopping or if we can force to scan 5GHz wifi band first. If you can point me what files to change i could fix it as well. For everyone else let us know if you also have a slow connection time in the 5GHz band. I din't have that problem in the asus nougat rom.

-mobile network:
Is any way to disable 2g networks all together? The reason is that 2G networks are not secure and a attacker can force your phone to connect to a 2G network. The default asus rom had the option to connect to 3G only, can we also have this somehow in this rom ?

-camera:
-qr code connect not working and copy just crash the camera (i don't care that much if this fixed, just reporting)
-focus is slower, maybe the laser is not being utilized for focus ?
-hdr and micro sd (that have being all ready reported)

I fixed the network selection issue finally. It turned out to be simple, yet you should know where to look. For everyone else looking to stay with 3G or LTE the option is hidden in a menu that you can access by calling *#*#4636#*#*. From there just choose what you like from the options. I opt for 3G only as you can see in the picture.

Im working fixing the camera the last 2 days. Din't figure out yet a way to get the HDR working. Is a feature i was using heavily and i miss. So far i followed the logs and copied some libraries around, trying changing settings with no better results from the apk in the second post. There is some to do with bspcapsbilities.jar in the /vendor/framework . In the logs the camera expect to find this file but when is there things look alright but the camera doesn't do anything. Actually is frozen. When i deleted this file the camera dose work but the interface and capabilities are very limited. Libc complaining a lot in the logs that doesn't find camera.cpp.dumppreviewpayload and also it seems some settings are not set:
setASUSHDR:disable
setBeautificationWB: Beautification WB param is NULL!
setOisValue: ois param is NULL!
Setting TS mode setTSMode, pre=off off
Setting TS Fps (null), pre=(null)
[DITALL] setDITAutoLLMode = 0
setASUSZoomMode: mAsusZoomMode Mode param is NULL!
setVideoEISMode: param is NULL!
setASUSVideoDISMode: param is NULL!

I'm not sure how to find where the app expect this setting to be set

This is an unofficial port of LineageOS 15.1 for the Zenfone 3 ZE520KL and ZE552KL.
It's a continuation of the great work on LineageOS 14 by @shakalaca.

In this post you'll find anything related to the ROM itself.
The second post is about extensions like Gapps and Asus Camera and the changelog can be found in the third post.

    What's working/features:
    • Up to date kernel: Linux 3.18.136, CAF Tag LA.UM.7.6.r1-04300-89xx.0
    • Security patch level: March 5, 2019
    • User build, signed with my release-keys
    • Support for F2FS and EXFAT
    • Flipcover support via FlipFlap.
    • HW acceleration
    • WiFi/Hotspot
    • Bluetooth fully functional, with AptX
    • ANT+
    • GPS (+ Glonass)
    • Camera (Asus Camera mostly working, check the second post.)
    • Flashlight
    • Fingerprint
    • Mobile data and phone
    • Data roaming - read installation instructions!
    • Audio fully functional
    • All sensors working
    • Double tap to wake, Swipe up to wake
    • Touch gestures and on-screen nav bar
    • Notification/Battery LED
    • LiveDisplay
    • FM
    • Gapps
    • Substratum
    • Wireguard support
    • SELinux: Enforcing
    Issues:
    • No major issues :D

    Installation instructions:
    1. Your bootloader has to be unlocked!
    2. Update to the latest oreo stock rom.
    3. In stock rom: Enable data roaming
If you don't do this you'll not be able to use roaming in LineageOS. (This also applies to other custom roms.)
The LineageOS roaming switch can be used normally afterwards.
    4. Backup your internal storage to an external SD card or a computer. Internal storage should not be wiped but better save than sorry.
    5. Download the LineageOS 15 zip file provided in the downloads section to your phone (or use "adb sideload" with a computer).
    6. Flash the TWRP recovery I provided here.
    7. Reboot to TWRP. Backup everything. I recommend storing the backup on a computer or the external SD Card.
    8. Again in TWRP: Wipe Data, Cache, Dalvik/Art Cache and System.
    9. Finally you can install the LineageOS zip file and optionally Gapps. Reboot when finished.
(Always flash LineageOS and Gapps without rebooting in between!)
    10. First boot will take a littler longer - If everything went as expected: Welcome to LineageOS 15.1!
    11. For AsusCamera read the post below about extensions.

    Download:
    LineageOS 15.1 for the ZE520KL and ZE552KL: https://drive.google.com/open?id=15v4n4NCTnPtwO2xN_UnyKFuDKSVgloVc

How to return to build 2018-06-11 or earlier:
The following information only applies if you want to dirty-flash older builds. Factory-resetting the phone would make key migration obsolete.
If you want to return to build 2018-06-11 or earlier and are running 2018-08-11 or later, you have to migrate your data partition back to the test-keys.
Simply flash the "planet9_keys-to-test_keys.zip" from the "Key Migration" folder on my drive share to do so.

    Future updates:
I'll keep maintaining this rom until Android P roms are stable enough for daily use.

      Bugs:
Most of the features should finally work with the new apk.
