Isn't call volume still too high, even at the lowest volume, during a call? I'm using 20180629 build. Is there a way to fix this? Thank you!

will this ROM not longer be updated?
Something that a lot of people don't realize is that just because a build hasn't been released in a while doesn't mean that the ROM is abandoned. Most commonly, the dev will post on the thread informikg everyone that he is no longer updating it, often with an explanation and links to other ROMs.

Just give the guy some time. He maintains other ROMs for other devices if I recall correctly, in addition to some others for ours. Remember, he's human just like us - he has a life outside of building Lineage for us.

Hi all,

I'm having issues building this ROM. Specifically, the kernel build fails. I'm using
Code:
repo init -u git://github.com/LineageOS/android.git -b lineage-15.1
as a base and included the sources mentioned in op in
Code:
.repo/local_manifests/potter.xml
as
Code:
<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>
<manifest>
 <!-- potter device, kernel, vendor -->
 <project path="device/motorola/potter" name="boulzordev/android_device_motorola_potter" remote="github" revision="lineage-15.1-64"/>
 <project path="kernel/motorola/msm8953" name="boulzordev/android_kernel_motorola_msm8953" remote="github" revision="lineage-15.1-64"/>
 <project path="vendor/motorola/potter" name="boulzordev/android_vendor_motorola_potter" remote="github" revision="lineage-15.1-64"/>

 <!-- other need projects -->
 <project path="device/qcom/common" name="LineageOS/android_device_qcom_common" remote="github" />
 <project path="external/bson" name="LineageOS/android_external_bson" remote="github" />
 <project path="packages/resources/devicesettings" name="LineageOS/android_packages_resources_devicesettings" remote="github" revision="lineage-15.1"/>
</manifest>

The full build log is here. And the - in my opinion - important part is
Code:
drivers/built-in.o: In function `mods_codec_dai_probe':
/home/gothicVI/android/potter_15.1/out/target/product/potter/obj/KERNEL_OBJ/../../../../../../kernel/motorola/msm8953/drivers/misc/motomods/greybus/mods_codec.c:1042: undefined reference to `mods_codec_register_device'

allthough there are several segmentation faults occuring before that.

Any hint or tip would be highly appreciated!

Hi, I was experiencing some lags and slowdowns while using the ROM in a normal way browsing in light apps or downloading the notification bar. This did not happen in Stock. Is there any solution?? some recommended kernel? Thank you

    LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 8.0 (Oreo), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

    LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

    All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    From the Telegram announcement group it seems that vache has posted a 64 bit Lineage 15...

    Wanted to be sure that it's stable enought to be share here. Looks good for now.

    Here is the build : https://drive.google.com/file/d/1yF4pD-37cV0_4TyoVVNWsNOLE5c-Pj3u/view?usp=sharing

    Be sure to use 64bit TWRP to flash this one. And yes, wipe all needed. (system/dalvik-cache/cache)

    Project treble would be considered a separate project here (I think). Also, it would need device repartitioning, which is dangerous. This doesn't have treble.

    Sent from my athene using XDA Labs

    Made an attempt using OEM partition (650Mb wasted space), and booted fine. Now, waiting for O ROM to grab needed blobs for camera.

    I don't know why it's not official.

    Maybe because there's no Lineage 15.1 officially for now ? :)
