That's because we don't have an amoled display
That setting will use battery heavily no matter what I believe

Thats being said on the setting itself. Turn it on, and it will drain your battery for sure

No it doesn't lags with still wallpapers for sure.

Are you using jio?
What about VoLTE, works for outgoing and incoming call?

Why not jio is working flawlessly.

camera2api and gcam working. motion image is not.
yes volte works but has little signal reception issue.
fingerprint is not as fast as miui stock but fast enough
there is no need to install gapps additionally, just install whateva apps you need from playstore.
battery life is not as good as stock was.
