It depends upon personal preference!
For Oreo,
Try AEX, Nitrogen Os (appreciable battery backup) or Pixel Experience!
For Nougat,
Try ViperOs by @impulsar, AEX by @jar2105 or RR by @bekcicandrej

Aosp rom batteey backup hows that n i m. Interested in oreo rom
Recently i m. Using pixel experience but in that calling bug too much fedup
If you want minimal google apps, download nano, if you want most of google apps, download stock.
Latest update for Pixel experience should have fixed low in-call volume. OR you can use patch to fix yourself. Give a try to Nitrogen ROM.
In Nitrogen when device restart on that Android stop error occur
Use latest TWRP (3.2.1-0) and make sure to wipe system, data, cache and dalvik-cache before flashing ROM.
I have tried Nitrogen OS latest build and didn't faced such issue.
