I went fully stock after wiping everything with twrp AND then stock recovery full wipe and installing latest stock. Still random apps start crashing and the phone reboots by it self. Unlocked bootloader still.

Keep thinking something went wrong with twrp and wiping, maybe try an older version or an alternative recovery? Is there an alt recovery anymore?

PSA: For those of you who want to encrypt their device after flashing this ROM, this is what you do. I at first tried to naively encrypt my data via the encryption option in Settings, which hung at 100% complete. Logcat showed that the problem was SELinux preventing writing the encrypted footer to the data block device, as a result of which I lost all my data (but it's fine, I had backups). Here is how you work around it:

1. Root your phone using Magisk, so that you have a root shell available during OS boot
2. Start the encryption process.
3. As soon as the encryption dialog has come up, while it is in the process of encrypting your data but before it reaches 100%, open an adb shell and run these commands:

setenforce 0
echo 0 > /sys/fs/selinux/enforce
echo 1 > /sys/fs/selinux/disable

This kills SELinux and allows the encryption to proceed as normal

Edit: I haven't tried, but I presume that if you let it reach 100% before you were able to disable SELinux, it will fail without attempting to recover, and hence your data will be gone. To "recover" from that, boot to recovery and perform a full wipe WITHOUT entering your password/PIN/pattern unlock in TWRP.

This really is the best looking and smoothest running rom for the osprey variant of the moto g3 I've tried (and I've tried most). It's hard to believe that the developers aren't maintaining it anymore. All it really needs is to have the latest security commits added to it. Anybody out there with compiling experience willing to pick this rom up as an unofficial release? I don't know anything about it but would be willing to do any of the grunt work involved if someone wants to help me in maintaining this rom.

He just updated on requests i don't think he want to maintain it. It was based on January unofficial security patch on git And its stable because no one had a complaint about it?

Yep, its from @ansivgr
Its an Oreo build there are pie builds also unofficial but not by anis and the pie dev is currently not making builds anymore at least for osprey

(Pie is not currently stable otherwise ishubhamsingh would have given a build officially). //////volte is still half dead to osprey

Nope i haven't seen any update since September patch
No one is interested in pex Oreo these day's
Better to move on aex or OFFICIAL los build soon squid2 is going to start oreo nightly**** YES SQUID2 THE DEV WHO MAINTAIN OSPREY TWRP ?***

And there is also a unofficial los with jan patch by althfy (i hope i wrote his name correctly ?)

Or just try AOSP of Alberto sir no volte support but awesome battery backup *PURE ANDROID smooth // haven't tried substratum on it..? but other things are just too good (SIMPLE, SMOOTH & BEST)
