encryption fails

Thanks for the builds for osprey
The 20181210 image works fine on my XT1541, except for encrypting the system.
When I start the process (locking the system with a PIN), it reboots, starts encrypting,
reboots, continues encrypting until 100%, and then it halts. A restart results in an
unbootable system.
If is matters: twrp-3.3.0-0-osprey.
lineage-15.1-20190119-UNOFFICIAL-osprey does not boot correctly

I tried this for my Moto g3, and it still says error 7, not compatible rom. I made sure it was osprey and that I clean swiped before flashing it. Why is it not working? I have the 2gb Ram 16gb rom one

Does anybody still use this ROM and can tell me if it is suitable as a daily driver? Is there another thread with Official LineageOS 15.1?
I think about flashing this ROM instead of using stock ROM. As the Moto G3 is an old phone, I prefer this over a heavier Pie or Android 10 ROM.

Just installed today to replace lineage-15.1-20180729-UNOFFICIAL-merlin.zip
Definitely noticed an improvement (in terms of bugs). Still configuring. Will let you know.

Being running it as a daily driver for four days without any problem (thank you,
althafvly!!!). Use it with microG, completely de-googlefied. The battery barely lasts a day without any use of location services (5% left after 18.5H of use) but, I believe, it is normal for XT1557TE.
