Alright lads...i'm having a few problems!

So I installed the rom, following the guide, however....after installing Magisk (which I do need) it boots straight into TWRP.
Doesn't matter what Magisk I use, 16, 16.4, 16.7. All the same. No idea whats going on.

Another thing, I kee getting all the google apps have failed, i.e google services framework...among others. I can't figure it out and I've been flashing for 10 years lol

Clean flash rom and twrp. Reboot straight to twrp. Flash gapps and reboot. Setup your phone. Reboot twrp and install magisk. Then you will be good

Thanks mate, will do that. I fixed the gapps thing by installing the micro version...mini version was giving the errors.

EDIT No work with magisk 16, boots straight into fastboot.

EDIT 2. It works with 16.7...

Always stick to the latest Magisk because it has fixes for Treble-enabled devices like ours.

The right clean flashing order is: Wipe Dalvik/System/Data in Wipe > Advanced, then flash ROM, flash TWRP, reboot to recovery (TWRP), *optional->flash custom kernel, flash GApps, flash latest Magisk, done.

For dirty flashing you just don't do any wipes.

Mate, I've been doing this for years. I did exactly what you said and magisk 16 does not work. I can't stress enough, only 16.7 works..and thats AFTER i've booted in and set up. I wouldn't say it otherwise, buddy. Its working as should now with 16.7 and smurf kernal.

Yes, I clearly wrote the latest Magisk which happens to be 16.7 as of this post. I've also been around for years, almost 8 years, so what are you trying to say? I'm just giving you the right information and the order that has always worked on my two OP6. No need for caps and I'm just a fellow user trying to help, not your buddy/mate.

Yes. I read through all 24 pages and me and you seem to be the only ones experiencing this.. When using OOS, Android Auto connected no problem. Now it says "Unsupported Device". Tried a few different things but no joy. The phone seems quite happy but the HU keeps trying to connect and eventually tells me to "Unplug USB Device". I'll pull a logcat and post while connecting if no one has provided.

ROM has been very stable for me. I followed the instructions to the letter and it worked great. Those not used to Treble's A/B slots it can be a challenge to get it right. I've had a Pixel XL and a Pixel 2 XL so I'm used to it.
The only other issue I've had is the battery seems to drain somewhat quicker but I still get through the whole day without a charge.

This ROM is stable enough to use as a daily driver. Nice work folks!
I got it to work with the help of a fellow member's post earlier, which I can't seem to find anymore..

Go to Settings > Liquid Lounge > Miscellaneous and disable "MTP instead charging".

lol, I didn't mean to cause offence...just...magisk 16 is technically the latest....as 16.7 is beta, so I assumed you would have said beta magisk instead, you with me?

I would like to see the possibility to swap the navigation buttons.

And please add notch support

That are my only complains :)
Complaint #1 has a solution already available within the ROM: use SmartBar in the Navigation options and customize away. Complaint #2 - you need a Pie based custom ROM for that and that will take some time, please wait. If you urgently need notch support, you'll have to go back to stock for now.

No such thing as a perfect ROM, but...

I've installed LiquidRemix and, so far, I'm really impressed with how good it is at this, somewhat, early stage (fully fuctional OP camera on a LOS/AOSP based ROM?... that's a first for me!).
My biggest appreciation to the DEV team! :highfive:

Now, I know that there's no such thing as a perfect ROM, but I have to admit: OOS has matured a lot since its early days, eventhough I disbelieve that it'll ever have the level of customization one can get here! This being said, coming from a stock based ROM makes me miss a few things that I would really enjoy to see included in LiquidRemix (if possible, that is):
a) Screen calibration (sRGB/DCIP3)
b) Navigation Gestures better implementation
c) Buttons customizations, especially Alert Slider (options for each position)

One side note: when connected to the charger the lockscreen shows the (familiar) message "Dash Charging", but that's no longer accurate: OnePlus ditched the "Dash" term due to some patent issues with the Amazon ordering service with the same name. ;)

Cheers!

Op might want to take a minute and update the flashing instructions so people don't keep rebooting into twrp or boot loader over and over until they read the comments.

Reading the op should get you up and running. Been using it since last night. ROM is pretty solid.

Settings/display/advanced/accent color would be my guess. I run substatum so didn't try it.

Doesn't change the text color. And it overwrites substratum themes for me and is blue no Mather what color I choose or what substratum theme I use.

That's strange, mine is changing the text color (only using the built-in settings). But I guess blue is the default color, not black...
