Team OpenKirin presents AOSP Oreo MR1 (8.1) for Honor 8 Pro based on Project Treble.

Current issues:

1. 2G/3G network only show full signal strength

Installation

1. flash EMUI8 and unlock bootloader
2. flash system.img via fastboot
   

   [I]command:[/I]
   fastboot flash system system.img

3. do a factory reset via stock recovery and enjoy

Stock Huawei Camera
The stock huawei camera.. works BUT video recording is broken, aswell as hdr - normal picture taking works though (via both cameras!) - thats the reason the rom won't ship with the cam out of the box.
Simply grab my stock huawei camera magisk module from the link below and install it with magisk. reboot and enjoy stock camera pic quality

SafetyNet
The first boot of this rom has to be done with stock kernel (no SuperSU/Magisk installed)
Afterwards simply install magisk via the in-app boot image patcher (for huawei devices: RAMDISK.img) and fastboot - voila! you are done.

Magisk

Hi i was able to boot up. Dirty flashed it, seems fine till now. Can you share how i should install magisk to get the stocl camera.

you should patch your stock ramdisk.img via the latest magiskmanager and flash that via fastboot: fastboot flash ramdisk patched_boot.img

You can extract it from "update.app" using Huawei firmware extractor.

Simply wipe system and cache before flashing via fastboot
