Installation

• Download the latest build
• Place ROM in your SD card or Internal Storage
• Reboot into recovery mode
• Full wipe and factory reset (recommended)
• Flash ROM
• Reboot

Just flashed this ROM onto my Pollux Windy.

I flashed gapps right after the ROM with TWRP 3.2.1 (not after 1st Boot as mentioned in OP)

Used Gapps:
Gapps ARM 8.1 Pico

ROM is working flawless till now ... found no major bugs

- Offline Charging: Ok -> Not really
Turnt it off, then connected charger to it.
Orange LED turned on, Sony Logo, black screen, LED off - no charging
Had to press Vol+ and Power to get it back booting

Anyway:

I installed SU2.82 with twrp. Root OK.

No Chance to install opengapps 8.0
So i installed opengapps 8.1.

Image is realy great !

BUT, is not compatibel with Amazon Alexa App.

Any idea why Amazon Alexa App can not be installed from Playstore? Inkompatible Device ....

Clean flashed the rom with 8.1 gapps, but setup wizard kept crashing after booting..
Deleted setup wizard apk from system, then google services kept stopping while signing in via play store.

Tried 2 different gapps, same results. Works flawlessly without gapps.

I also tried that Android Go zip, but status bar, home & recent button stopped working.. I think that zip is only for phones lol and not tablet ?

Clean Install:
Flash Rom and opengapps 8.1 before first Boot.
All ok!

I can confirm that something is screwed up with wi-fi, cause it lists fewer networks, than android 7.1.2 RR.

• Start device

I always clean flash. And i don't have any sim card in my tab.

+ i also flahed that gsmcore8.1 zip that dev asked to flash, but still no help.. Setup wizard kept crashing.

Try clean flashing.
Then boot OS like usual, pass setup wizard settings. Reboot to recovery and install gapps with fix.

only comment: you need to flash rom, then opengapps before first boot, otherwise you will get stuck with google play services keeps crashing
