Always Have a full functional Backup. Just in case!

DOWNLOAD ROM: AndroidFileHost Official | MEGA mirror

GAPPS: GZR Gapps Zero (pico) | Ezio Gapps Mini (nano) | Open Gapps

First time installing crDroid to your Honor 5x, or coming from another ROM:

** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery (latest TWRP, 3.2.3 or above)
1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
2) Boot into Recovery
3) Wipe cache, system, & data
4) Flash ROM
8) Flash gapps
9) Boot up

For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).

Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.

KNOWN ISSUES
SELinux is PERMISSIVE

Don't expect any support if you:
- are not running the included kernel
- have installed any mods such as Xposed!
- have modified system files

Thanks to:

- @BadDaemon
- Google
- LineageOS
- SlimRoms
- AOSPA (Paranoid Android)
- OmniRom
- NamelessROM
- Many others... (if you're feeling upset being out of the thanks list just send a PM )

Unfortunately no, at least not from me. It sounds like you have the wrong firmware. This isn't an issue with the ROM.

Please don't quote the OP in any replies. If you can edit your post to remove the quote, I'd appreciate it. :)

Totally awesome, the ROM works as a charm. I will test this thoroughly.

Thank you (and everyone that works/worked on this project) very much.

    • December security patch
    • Update Kiwi sources

Unofficial Build Last Version 4.7 (2018-10-09)

    Download: Mediafire

Please let me know if you're going to build one of the ROMs I work on before you do it, my laptop takes 6+ hours to build these and if someone else is going to build the same thing, it's kind of a waste for me to do as well. I'd rather be working on other things!

crDroid devs are also very specific about when we should sync between updates so there aren't any bugs left over in the code.

There's a new official build up, by the way. Lots of changes.

    crDroid 4.7.1 unofficial
    Changelog:
    • November security patch
    • EXFAT support
    • Fix volume control on calls
    • CPU cluster plug
    • GPS random NTP server
    • Call recording
    • ZRAM with LZ4 as compression
    • Use other sensors for thermal control

crDroid v4.7.1 Unofficial with November security patches

This build uses a new custom kernel called RebornKernel (credits to @Adithya R for his sources). You can check out my kernel source here and his original source here. As you can see, it's pretty much all his work, so thank him, not me!

Please leave some feedback on how this build performs against earlier versions and other Oreo ROMs. There are some tweaks and optimizations added to try to reduce heat and RAM usage. If you want to stick to the usual Lineage sources, you can use the unofficial 4.7.1 build above by @draculla444.

    Download: https://mega.nz/#F!rbBSxaZD!Pf2q9leZerAnmvesDuEXEQ

Edit: Please don't try to use the kernel on other O builds unless specified otherwise (and likewise, don't flash other custom kernels over this build). It's not made to work with the main Lineage trees without additional device and vendor updates.
