I am migrating from 6.0 Alpha to 6.7.

I have followed all the directions. My phone has been loading for 2 hours. I am curious how long this should take? My 6.0 alpha took 10 minutes.

Booted recovery
-- Deleted 6.0
Installed vendor2factory in recovery
Flash TWRP 3.3.1
Reboot to recovery
Installed ASOP-6.7 zip
Installed gapps mini
cleared cache
reboot system

Loading 2 hours

Same issue here. My Z2 Pro is loading since hours. I´ve tried it with some restarts because on LineageOS it helps. has anyone made suggestions? Thanks in advance!

Newbie needs help

Hey Guys,

I am want to update on the latest release and I wonder what I have to do to do that. I am currently running AOSP 6.2.
I do not have a lot of experience with custom roms and I am a little confused with all the info. I tried to get to a higher but that did not work out fine and 6.2 is the highest that works for my ZUK Z2 PRO.
Can someone give me some info on how to go from where I am to 6.7
- Do I need to Update to a higher ZUI first?
- Do I need the newest TWRP ?

Thank you in advance and sorry if this was discussed before. I could not find something that suited me.

I would first update twrp, then the baseband, if you don't already have the latest ( there is a thread for this). Then you can flash aex either over your old install or by wiping before installing, if there are problems.

i'm using 6.6 for about 5 months with last basebands and the rom is very stable but i have 2 anoying issues :
1- Audio volume during call's is very low (including hands free)
2-Microphone is very sensitive...I can't record any concert with decent sound!

Does anybody have the same problems? is there any solution ?

Thanks

I'm using 6.7, but my audio volume isn't low (at least I don't think so). Regarding the microphone I think most phones are not suited well to record concerts with decent sound.

yes I know, but even with normal music I can only hear distortion in recorded videos. With other phones I don't have that kind of problem.
But what's really bothering me is the low volume during calls...with AEX 4.6 even with low volume everybody could hear my conversation.
I'm going to update to 6.7 and check.

edit:
solved! Solution is here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-a1/how-to/how-to-modify-ear-speaker-volume-mi-a1-t3779866

I search all internet and some guides I found. But I must root my phone and try some things, but finally I change my MAC address in file:
wlan_mac.bin (this one was absolute empty, without any letter). I found in file WCNSS_qcom_cfg.ini my old mac numbers. I changet wlan_mac.bin in root folders vendor and persist. There I add something like this:
Intf0MacAddress=00AA00BB00C1
Intf1MacAddress=00AA00BB00C2
Intf2MacAddress=00AA00BB00C3
Intf3MacAddress=00AA00BB00C4
It is a little bit complicated, because I must found this files, then in TWRP copy this files and add to non root folder, than reboot and open it with ES File Explorer and change it and save it and then switch to TWRP and rewrite old empty files with new.
And then some times reset the phone and then tadaaa... Wifi enebled and worked. :D
But Wifi worked only one day. I will see for longer time if it is OK.
Thanks all for help and interest! ;)
So, than a lot of months of problems.... I must buy new motherboard and now all working well. My problem with wifi was hardware problem. Not software problem. FYI .o)

I had the same issue... I installed AEX 6.5. This version works well for me.
I have the same issue as well - turns out that with me it occurs when I try to add a system app, like TWRP or any other app as system. The phone doesn't boot, I need to remove the system app via recovery TWRP file manager -> then it boots up.

I need though a system app to be installed, where can I find the older versions of AEX? I can only find the latest

Hmm, you're right on the website of AEX there is only the latest official version available.

It's a bit strange... Last time I looked at the website of AEX (some moth ago) all older versions were available, too. Unfortunately I don't have an idea where else to find the old versions.

Good afternoon.
I noticed that the phone starts ringing after passing two beeps from the caller. It is not comfortable.
Has anyone come across a similar one?
How can I make the phone start ringing right away?
