Have no issue with sim on my XT1687 single-sim model, no sim error and can receive & make calls fine. Everything else is working well on my setup and so far it seems like a solid ROM.

Everything works fantastic.

This ROM is so fast and buttery smooth. Incredible work. My only quam is not being able to disable the navbar entirely when using Moto Actions, and not being able to find immersive mode. If either of those options were available this ROM would be flawless.

sim card dont work in this rom
Had the same issue upon initial setup, but resolved it by rebooting one time. Give it a try. :)

I forgot that you can force immersive mode through Tasker. For me, I use the Display On state to automatically turn on immersive mode and remove the Navbar only. Works like a charm. :good:

A more direct way to disable navbar, if rooted, is to edit /system/build.prop and add the line: qemu.hw.mainkeys=1

Even better!

Thank you for the solid advice, only had to reboot for it to take effect. What a great ROM. This works better than using Tasker as a work-around because there is no navbar visible when pulling down the notification bar. :good: I was not aware that editing the Build.Prop for the device would allow for this sort of functionality, or lack thereof since in this case it takes away the navbar. What a handy tool. :D The most editing to the Build.Prop I had ever done before was changing the device name to Pixel back when the google assistant wasn't available for devices besides the Pixel. For me, this makes CarbonROM hands down my pick for daily driver. None of the ROMs I have tested for this device have come close to the speed this one provides. Insanity. So far no bugs or issues to report. Just great performance.

camera and file size problems

Was running CR 6.1 for the last year and a half with good reliability. GPS and bluetooth were becoming unreliable stopping randomly several times during a weekend roadtrip, compromising car music and navigation. Decided to update to CR 7.0 today, selecting the 10/30/19 release. Everything went splendidly except now some of the .xml files on my SD card show as zero bytes on my phone, but show properly if I insert the SD card in my Linux computer. Also the camera app is not working at all. I touch it and it never quite opens. If I go to the messages app, I can use the camera function just fine so it seems like a problem with the camera app itself. I installed the stock GApps and used Magisck 20.1. Suggestions? Is there a more stable release I should be using instead?

So the solution was to copy all files from the SD card to my Linux computer (Windows also couldn't read the files), format the SD card and insert it into the phone with the fresh install for formatting there. I powered the phone back off, copied the files back over and everything worked normally. Stock camera app still doesn't function but I downloaded the moto camera app and it seems to work correctly. Appreciate the continued support for my old phone.
