Already did. Changed dozen of versions, no effect. gaps includes version - 4.23.0.264415041 which quite old also, first attept of autoupdate by play market will break app again.
Another problem with "Getting your photos.." - the phone cannot go to deep sleep mode, which cause huge battery drain by this app.

So far i just dissabled autoupdate of app and stuck on 4.26.xxxxx version.

Use Gallery go by Google it's similar to Google photos and sorry, I'm on lineage OS 17 so I can't confirm what's the problem.

FDE.AI ,(or LKT,NFS) ,ram management fixes,Global optimized GPS ,Universal GMS Doze

2.I'm using Adaway and greenify but i face a huge battery drain and heating is it the apps/modules or something in the rom ?

1. Yes FDE.AI is best of all and lkt second option

2. Use blokada instead of adaway

Universal gms has no such effect of extra battery savings and gps module is showing wrong location each time I used

That's not about the ROM, if the baseband you mentioned was working on stock rom, then it does.

I want to put the rom 16 on my htc u ultra. I only read messages that make me doubt. Is this now a stable version to flash or can I run into problems. I now have the latest version of Leedroid on it but I want something else.

Installed the ROM, gapps and magisk.
Long first time boot but it's normal.
Did some steps, logged with google account.
Once I choose sequence + fingerprint, while scanning my finger, screen freeze, phone shut down and there's no way to power it on.

Guys, please help me. My device seems to be stuck.
If I plug the wall outlet (the original) it become a bit warm, so I think its charging.
No orange LED while charging.
If I unplug the charger, the device is slightly warm in the back, near the C of the logo so I think is doing something.
Then, I think the battery runs out.
Yesterday, it was warm all afternoon without anything connected.
Always black screen, no backlight, no response from the button.

It died suddendly while I was configuring the fingerprint :crying::crying::crying::crying::crying:

Bit of a strange one, but for some reason I can't get this ROM to boot.
I have installed the relevant TWRP and followed the instructions in OP multiple times, but still no luck.

I am coming from Leedroid, and have formatted data, but after installing the ROM, GAPPS and Magisk, when I try to boot / restart system, it will eventually kick me back to TWRP after about 5minutes of trying to boot!?

This also happens if I only install the ROM itself without GAPPS and Magisk, so not the GAPPS issue that was experienced earlier in the thread.

Any suggestions as to something I may have missed?

I presume you have tried to reset it and get back to recovery??
Continue to press power and volume down until it shuts down and you get a grey HTC logo....(may take 30 seconds or more sometimes)....then press and hold volume down only, choose bootloader in 1st menu and then recovery from 2nd menu

I think i've tried all kind of button combination and timing without success.
I can't see anything from the display, no backlight, so I don't know what the phone is doing (the lcd was working fine before the phone suddendly died).
Maybe trying to connect it via USB to a computer and type some commands remotely, can save it?
It's been 2 years that the phone it's in the drawer of my desk, it'd be nice if we can resurrect it
