I think I found a problem with AOD, it seems to stay always at maximum brightness, even at night with no light at all in the environment? Anyone else noticed that? also there are no AOD brightness custom settings in the rom so you can not reduce the brightness... tia :confused: (blueline user btw)

EDIT: I think I found out something interesting, actually it seems it works the opposite here lol! I mean with lot of light the AOD starts bright and goes very dim after some seconds, while with dark environment AOD starts dim and goes very bright after some seconds!

I'm uploading a build with no gapps for you now - it'll be in the repo within a few minutes. I haven't tested it so you'll have to let me know if it works. I think I may have read somewhere in the past that builds without gapps may tend to have some problems. Sorry for the wait, updated my distro and had a few issues with building which I managed to get sorted.
First impression: AEX bootanimation is gone and I was presented with Google's bouncy dots. It booted without problems though.

Apps: Stock as can be, however, I'm surprised to see "Project Fi" and "Via" being part of an AOSP experience now. That can be solved though ;)

OS-wise: No wallpaper. This is expected though, as you've removed the Pixel ones. I'm just noting the observation.
One big bug here though: I don't have any UI. There's no statusbar, no way to enter settings (Settings app in drawer crashes on launch), no back button or a way to turn off/restart the phone when I hold the power button.

After rebooting and flashing TWRP, I'm now stuck in a bootloop.

Thanks a lot for trying though :)
I really appreciate the attempt!

Hi, I switched back to your Rom recently from q beta, I noticed my screen starting to flicker and a line beeing drawn at hight of the notch, did u notice any simular behavior.
My screen is cracked but it is since serval weeks, and I didn't notice this on q beta.

Thx in advance

Do you know if they added active edge to pixel 2 yet ? Having active edge for pixel 3 would complete me.. Then I can die.
Regardless even with out it, it's LIT!! ??

I'm afraid it seems as if your display may be having issues. I've been back and forth a few times between Q Beta and AEX..... definitely never encountered what you're experiencing. I had a crack in my LG G4 years ago that was fine for like 6 months, then, one day it got all screwy looking and never recovered.

well u were right , after flashing back q beta it got better again then with aex (i guess bcs of darkmode, idk) but yesterday out of the nowhere the display went completely nuts rendering my phone near unuseable

@CodeFox any chance you look in the aod brightness problem before New build please? :fingers-crossed: it is too bright in dark environments, and gets darker when the environment light increases.. it is working fine instead in Aquarios or DU roms for example.

    I guess there is nothing wrong in reading facts!

    -Base Of the ROM & Version?
    ->Rom is based on AOSP.

    -Why no "Incremental/Delta updates" Support?
    ->Actually the updates we provide monthly are heavily changed and modified than the previous builds. New stuff is merged and added. So we don't provide incremental updates and recommend a clean flash.

    -Does this ROM Support Substratum?
    ->Yes, full Substratum support!

    -Which Gapps are recommended?

    -How do I root this ROM?
    ->We recommend Magisk

    -Will this ROM relock the bootloader?

    -What about XPOSED?
    ->XPOSED is still in beta stage. We like Xposed but it messes up with the system so before giving any bug reports make sure you have Xposed uninstalled.

    -When Will Be the Next Update?
    ->No ETAs, please. ROM Will be updated whenever the new build is ready by your maintainer. We generally provide monthly updates with latest security patches and new features.

    -I am facing FCs, Bugs, Some feature is broken?
    ->Provide full info about your problem with logcat and the procedure to reproduce it.

    Compiling new builds for April Security patch today. Expect to see them later on :).
    IIRC, Active Edge (squeeze) and Pixel Stand features (photo frame, for example) are proprietary and closed-source, so all AOSP-based ROMs will lack those capabilities.

    It's been some years since I've had a phone where I had to deal with the option (stock-based with limited tweaks, but full features or AOSP-based with lots of tweaks but lacking full functionality)...I don't even know if there is a stock-based ROM for Bluecross.

    Besides, Active Edge on Pie is dumb unless you install Edge Sense Plus to modify its actions into something more helpful. I came from an Android One X4, so I made a single squeeze launch the camera and a long squeeze turn on/off the flashlight. Not as good as the gestures on the X4, IMO, but certainly more useful than squeezing to launch Google (which I can do just by talking to the phone). Less of an issue on Q since the ability to change the function of the squeeze will be baked in.

    Active edge was essentially reverse engineered by Dirty Unicorns. So it is possible to put it into the ROM. I may look to build it in, but I'm very limited with the time I have to do so.
    Active Edge within custom roms natively contains the ability to customise the functionality (checkout AOSIP rom).

    Also, I've updated the download link. New builds are complete with the APN issues fixed :D
    No more closed source thingy.

    I am sorry, Google :p
    New builds are now up in the repository. (Blueline may still be uploading depending on how early you see this post).

    Sorry for the delay, I had an issue with GAPPS being uncertified and it took me a while to sort it out. Enjoy :).
