What do you mean by good battery backup?.
U mean the reason im getting 2hrs of screen on time is because of the Rom?

Think that our 3year old devices that stopped at android 6.0 that came till the Android pie that you must not expect the good battery backup. Go back to android 6. 0 you will get some better backup so thats why i said only to taste the pie not to care about the battery backup.
