Hello and thanks.
I have:
- install TWRP 3.2.1-0
- install the last version of AOSP
- install gapp for android 9.0
- install magisk 18.0

all without error message. Delete the cache and data. When i reboot the system to load i see the Google message ... it lock there and after 5 second the lcd will be turned off, i don't understand if the system is shutdown or only locked...

which gapps variant are you installing ? Try pico or nano.... I had same issue when test stock variant. Regards

AEX has the /APD (aka the new vendor partition) but this isn't Treble. If I say "yeah, it's a Treble rom" some people may use the old TWRP and the option to repartition /vendor, but this is wrong since the new vendor it's just a unused partition that got adapted

Btw, development of aex for Zenfone 3 continues or is it discontinued?

Ambient display and quick status bar customisation

1. The ambient display option to turn on when you wave the hand over the sensor is missing.:(

2.The setting to change transperancy of quick status bar is missing:(

Is it a bug or is it removed? :eek:

1 - I really don't know about this, I don't use ambient display/gestures that much :p

2 - They reverted (removed) that a while ago as you can see here, I don't know if they'll release this again

    I just released 6.5 :p
    I was off for a few months due to personal issues and some rom issues too, but I'll keep releasing updates every month. Only the unofficial was discontinued
