Try clean flash. I always do clean flash to avoid additional bugs as much as possible.
What about your apps - wouldn't you have to reinstall them each time?

(At the moment I've dirty flashed an older update, which works fine... except for the Rotation; not sure how to use Rotate on Android 9 with the Axon 7).

My phone is running crDroid 9.0-20200514. My phone has full disk encryption enabled.

Yesterday, Google Play Services decided it doesn't want to play nice anymore. I tried all the standard tips of uninstalling Google Play updates, and wiping the Google Play cache, etc. but that hasn't fixed it.

I though updating to the latest 9.0-20200814 might help, but I'm not entirely clear on how to do that. If I boot into TWRP, it can't mount my data, because it doesn't think my password is right (even though I'm certain that it is.)

Is there any way to flash the update on an encrypted phone? Or do I have to backup, wipe, and refresh everything?

I never get the option to mount vendor partition in TWRP, like there's no "vendor" option in the list although there is a "persist" option I don't recognize. Otherwise, absolutely everything works fine, and even flashing works but I guess only if the mount happens in the script? (I'm guessing). Does anybody know how to fix this? Thx.

Does anyone had issues with auto-rotation and auto-brightness?

I came from A2017X_O_B04_SL!M8 rom, and clean flashed with TREBLE TWRP to the latest version of crDroid and this issue appeared, I think it's not recognizing the sensors. I tried going back to SL!M8 and works flawlessly, everything works. Only this ROM have this issues. Also, it cannot install any versions of Google's Pixel Launcher. If any anyone knows how to solve this issues, I would really appreciate it.

Auto-rotation works, auto brightness works.

Factory Unlocked Bootloader Install Questions.

Hello All,

Sorry for the newbie question. I have a ZTE Bootloader Unlocked A2017U. The bootloader was unlocked from ZTE directly. Do I need to follow different directions than in the OP to get this build installed since the BL was factory unlocked? Was hoping to make this a lot simpler and just install the .ZIP. TIA and appreciate all you folks do!!

I flashed it (semi dirty, I wiped caches and system only, not data). I was worried that after finally asking for a version of gcam that works and installing it yesterday it'd break again, but it still works too. I also prophylactically installed the latest open gapps micro. Everything seems in order and working fine.

Thanks for the patches!
