Download the latest update full rom, n flash it via twrp not updater.
I did the same. Clean or dirty flash was okay, i tried it several times, even from AEX OREO 5.8 without wipe is okay.
If it need to wipe then wipe system, cache n dalvik. U can keep the data.

Is this rom can make external sd card as internal storage? I am currently using AOSP Oreo and I made my external sd card as internal storge. I have tried pie rom before and I cant move any apps to my external storage.

What's the difference dirty flash or clean flash? V.6.6 is out but i dont want to lose any data(s) for now.. How can i update it without losing my data?
The bug still exist, sd card corupted notif. Even on AEX V6.6
Yes i tried that too, moved some apps to sd card with TB, LP, n link to sd app. The apps had moved, no issue, except my sd card is an old one, so everytime i open the apps it took a long time to open, n some were FC

Clean flash : wipe all bfore flash
Dirty flash ; flash directly without wipe any partition
Like i said on my earlier reply above, using Batik Recovery, i had flashed V6.6 over V5.8 (oreo), with only wiped system, dalvik n cache but not data, n flashed the full downloaded rom (not from OTA updater menu) it booted normally n succed.
I play MOBA n PUBG mobile, i play it without download any resourches or addition files again.

I flashed MIA2 dual camera n it works fine
Tried gcam from magisk module too, but mia2 dual cam is better

I love this rom, but i have slight issue with heating while browsing and charging.

new update came out , with the August security patch . although some reports on telegram tells that a lot of people fall on bootloop . the aosp extended download link is down for about 5 days now .

I am using aex (now in version 6.7) in my redmi 4a, since version 6.4 twrp failed to mount data partition and internal storage (which means that it impossible to get backup of system), i formated all partitions many many times but everytime when i install this rom it happens again.
One more thing, in versions 6.4 and 6.7 (not in 6.6) the volume panel doesn't fade out himself. only if i touch the screen it fade out.

you have to format internal storage one time
If TWRP fails, it is a TWRP fault, not AEX.
It seems that TWRP ≥3.2 does not format the partitions correctly.
I use TWRP 3.1.1-1 to format the /data partition and TWRP 3.3.1-0 to wipe and flash the ROM.

All times i used TWRP 3.2.3 and there wasn't any problem. since aex 6.6 there is a problem. (In changelog of this version the developer wrote something about new tree device. related?).
In the beginning i thought the problem is in TWRP and i update it to 3.3.1 but the problem stays.

Your recovery resolved my problem immediately, I didn't even need to format at all.
Now only second problem stays. any suggestions?
by second problem you mean volume panel not fade? did you clean flashed with new recovery
