There's gonna be a ThunderStorm v2! But not anytime soon, as there are a lot of custom kernels coming out, it's the right time to prove something. So it will take some time to be done with a lot of extraordinary features

Flashed this rom on Jan 5. Working great so far with Retro Kernel. The only bug I have seen is you can't adjust the incall volume.

As for the fingerprint, I flashed the fw_rosy_miui_HM5Global_8.12.27_80b9432df0_8.1.zip firmware on an Android 8.1 Lineage OS rom (use any 8.1 rom you have just for flashing the firmware). Then, I wiped system, data, vendor, cache, dalvik/ART and flashed PE Pie and it worked fabulous for me.

Overall, this is the best Rom you can have for Redmi 5 right now.

The Led is not working when charging. And the camera (Google Camera ver 5) cannot focus macro which stock camera can. It is possible to include Miui Cam V2 in the next update beside Gcam? I also notice that the Gcam ver 6 which works in the Miui 10.3 for night sights function but not working in this Pie PE. Night sights always crash.

Few small issues

So I tried installing it this morning and the first issue I came across is that I cannot connect to hidden WiFi network. You add SSID and password but it wont connect you. No hidden networks are working fine. Also the Gcam app is somewhat buggy. The macro isnt working and slow motion mode crashes the app. But wow. You guys did an excellent job! So far best rosy ROM out here!

Edit: I also have very poor 4G network reception

Issues with pixel experience latest ROM for Redmi 5 rosy

Hey,

First, kudos to you for building a great ROM. It is smooth like butter and beautiful. Below are the main issues that if get fixed, this ROM will be the best ROM ever:

1. In-Call volume is nonadjustable. This is essential since everyone else can hear the other person while on the call.
2. Output media volume is too low. Can't watch YouTube or listen to songs with proper volume. lowering it down completely mutes it.
3. Notification light doesn't lit while the device is charging. Not a big deal but would have been better if it worked.
4. LTE network poor reception. With original miui ROM LTE network shows at almost full strength. But with this ROM, it is mostly empty.

That's it for now. Will keep testing it. Thanks.

I just added these lines to build.prop file and it seems it increased signal reception tremendously.

Please fix the audio balance in headphones jack. I have to use Bluetooth earphone to listen to music. The right earphone when connect to the jack is muddy and less louder than the left

So that Build.prop "workaround" seems to increase signal reception but it is still somehow unstable. It still jumps to 0 but at least you can reach 4 bars, so I will keep it here But it is definitely not a fix
