Well done for changing the download host. I got the zip in no time this morning. However, no matter how I try I can't get this rom rooted. I've tried Magisk-17.1 - installing after rom install before rebooting and rebooting first then gonig back to recovery to install it. I've done the same with Magisk-17.3(b) but with no luck. It just freezes on trying to open rootable apps.
I must be doing something wrong or is anyone else having this problem?

Magisk 17.1 works normally for me in the crDroid version of 19 Oct.

Well, I tried it one more time and this time I wiped everything except sdcard. It still won't root although the Magisk zip file does everything it should without an error. The only thing that may be different is that I don't use any gapps but I really don't think this can cause the problem.
I may have to give up and see how future releases perform.

no way to hide malfunctioning search-bar

Thanks for the nice build, it's pretty stable, no major probs on Crackling so far with me :good:

For several reasons my mobiles are free of gapps - so for users like me there is a blank search-bar-space-robbing-object just in the middle of the homescreen with no use at all. Can't be touched, used, killed, moved or anything.
Here a screenshot, it's the upper bar:

With alternate launchers it can be solved, but I'm loosing the smothness and performance of the Quickstep-launcher. And as the screenshot shows: graphical errors occur (until restart only) - here additional searchbar-widget is active, too.
I'm begging: Could somone who works wirth the build initiate some remove-feature of "dumb"-searchbar?
Or, is there a workaround? E.g altering some preferences-file of Quickstep.apk V9? And where is the process com.android.launcher3 to be manually found (directory)?

Kind regards, and thank you so much for this nice port!

Success at last! I found an old version of supersu and was able to root with no trouble. Now I just need those navigation bar buttons to be personalised and you get 100%.
Joking aside, it's a great rom, thanks.

And I'll second nullmodem's point about the useless searchbar.

After flashing the Magisk.zip from recovery i also installed the magisk manager apk. That way root is working for me.

I also installed the magisk manager app but all I got from it was a request to install magisk.zip (of course, I'd already done that). If I followed the instruction we went straight back to the start and the app asked me to install magisk.zip.
I can't see what I did wrong but in any case it works now with supersu.

QuickStep Launcher crashed after applying this OTA. I'll revert back to the October 27th build.
