Hi!

Thanks for getting this rom out for piccolo, I'm testing it right now and looks cool, but I have already found a problem, the thing is that at least the wifi mac has changed and has nothing to do with the original one, don't about bluetooth, imei, ...

Any way we can check any of this?

Have I done something wrong when flashing it?

Thanks again and keep up the good work!

Hi,

The wifi driver was updated, same in device settings. It is normal for MAC address to change.
Wi-Fi not working?

Wi-Fi not working?

WiFi is working, but could not access the net as I had authorized the original mac, for me it is not normal for the MAC to change, current mac starts with 00:af:f5 which is not from bq but from Airgo Networks, looks to me that the MAC is not getting from the hardware to the driver, so it makes up a new one.

I don't quite get what you mean with: "same in device settings" anyway.

Regards.

I'll take a look to fix it in the new Q version where I'm already working.

Have you got a random MAC address in every boot?

Great to hear you are working on Q, waiting to test it ;)

The mac doesn't seem to change, I haven had to restore it and I still have the same mac. Looks to me like one of those macs generated based on some stuff which results always on the same mac.

Regards.

I tried to install it right after the wipe and it did not work. I got an Error 7 because of "No such file or directory".

Looking into it I found that it was trying to write to /cache/recovery, but on my newly reset phone the folder recovery does not exist. Adding it manually after the wipe allowed the installation.

I have TWRP v3.4.0 as well. Have you checked or unchecked "Settings/Zip signature verification"?. I got the same problem with that option selected.

This is a big problem for me. I have two BQ M5 at home with the same MAC and because of that, one of then is rejected by the router. The MAC doen'st change after a reboot at it seems, as @bestiatester says, it is hardcoded somewhere instead of take de MAC from the device.
