Hello !

As I already announced, today I present a new update of LOS 16.0 ( Android Pie ) for our device !

( Please check OP for downloads )

ChangeLog :

* update security patch level to November 5, 2019
* removed SIM support for all devices which are wifi only
* added Flip Cover support :
- it will not working for the first time
- try to open and close the cover, to initialize the sensor
- in two or three seconds you'll hear a specific sound of the lock screen
- when you remove the cover, the screen will switch to on automatically - and the device will stay locked .

Best regards !

Wow thx for this update!! Getting better and better!
Are you getting the landscape icons name issue with your device model or I'm the only one?

Hi !

If anyone wants to take a picture at any cost, there is a workaround : just install Footej Camera and use Burst Mode to take 20 photo, they will be saved without issues on your device !

Hi, i set in build prop the peristent camera hal3 option to 0. It was only to test. Camera is able to save picture but after the camera app starts the image freezes directly. But if you push the button to save its works to save the freezed picture to tge gallery. And when you change an option the picture on camera changes directly and freezes again. Maybe you @surdu_petru could find a solution with this? ?

@surdu_petru

Many thanks for the November update, and your continued great work :good:

Can confirm that the SIM settings removal behaves properly on my WiFi only tablet, and that the magnetic flip cover sleep functions well.

Regards,

Sorry, I don't understand exactly what you mean, but here are my screenshots : does there is something wrong ?

I get this too - icons have titles in portrait (vertical) but not in landscape (horizontal) screen orientation.

[N.B.: This is only on homescreen - icon titles work properly in App Drawer in both orientations]

Thanks for screenshots, seems to be more like a launcher issues as I can see
I suspect you are right ... kind of ;)

After your reply I tried a few other launchers than the LOS default Trebuchet - some showed the issue, some didn't.
Interestingly I found a few other discussions about other devices and their launchers, going back several years, including about the vanilla Google launcher on Pixel devices where people were having the same issue.
Seems the only `definitive` answer anyone ever got was on one occasion from a Google Fi support-desk droid replying about Android 8 Oreo on Pixel 2 :-
"After doing more extensive research and replicating this concern on different Pixel 2 devices, it seems that your phone is working the way it should be. While you are in portrait mode, your phone will display the icons and labels. While you are in landscape mode, your phone will only display the icons on your home screen.

I hope I was able to clear up any confusion."

I played around with Trebuchet a bit more, and I *can* get the landscape icon labels to display ... but only if I set display size two steps below default to "Smaller"
This isn't terribly useful, however, as the Display setting scales *all* screen elements globally, including fonts - not very usable.
(Setting Font size, specifically, has no effect on this issue at any screen size setting).

Interestingly, when the screen scaling is small enough for the icon labels to appear the dock bar is also moved from right side to bottom of display.

So ... it looks like another one of those arbitrary UI scaling/rotation annoyances that have plagued Android on tablets since the dawn of time.

It's not really a deal breaker - I didn't bother reporting it here as a `bug` since it doesn't particularly bother me and just assumed it was something to do with me having my Fonts setting as Large.
I just wanted to confirm xda_lex's finding and let him know he wasn't going mad - it isn't just random weirdness with his install, but a reproducible issue :D

Sound quality

surdu_petru iż it possible to fix sound quality on the tablet?
Tried many settings in viper4android and no improvements occured.
Love your work :good::good::good: but this tablet was made to sound awesome and with the job youve done it would be perfect tablet for me, but now watching YouTube or a movie is a pita:laugh: no bass at all and the speakera are not AS loud AS they used to be. You think you could possibly fix this issue?

Did you read post #124 and the following posts in this forum? If not do an uninstall of AudioFX first. After this install this special V4A thats linked in the #124 post. For me it worked on BAH-L09. I used the settings2 with bass boost of mikwii2000. I'm very happy, sound is really good for me.

Hi:)
Some apps could not run after I flash this ROM on my Lite 10 BAH-W09, the apps will crash soon when they appeared. But this was not happened on stock ROM.
Installed apps: Magisk, XDA Labs, APKPure, Firefox, Mixplorer, IceBox, Shadowsocks, Clash for Android, MXPlayer, Tachiyomi.
Crashed apps: Xodo PDF Reader, Greenify.
I have not installed Gapps.
And there is another issue, when reboot, the time will reset to 11:00 2019-11-7. Although I have set time manually, and the battary is full.

What I can do for fixing these issues?
