making new build. echo may be fixed or it may be even worse. or the other side won't here you at all

I think that secondary mic is making echo because speaker on ear is so loud,so camera mic is just echoing it. Echo is detected by other side,like anyone who call me hear him/herself like on repeat. I think disabling that secondary camera mic on voice calls should fix echo. At latest updates, facebook,magisk and lucky patcher were deleted but i installed them again. No problem so far. Good update,device is a bit smoother,but i use kernel auditor and i put input detected boost to 40ms and 1.9ghz instant boost,and performance of the phone is good.

ok, try latest ota. i just tried and i can't hear any echo. if i talk to rear mic nothing can be heard on other side.
i'll increase call volume today, looks like i reverted to lower stock values while playing with echo.

camera looks good too. qr scanner app i was using in 8.1 doesn't work but other apps do, no idea what could be the problem. i'll try to binary edit some camera files to use new location for camera data but i don't believe it will fix something.

bluetooth is still fighting with wifi. just turn BT off while you're downloading to get full speed. looks like BT is crippled on all devices, everybody has turned off BLE for example

I talked to multiple people and asked them about echo, they all said that they can't hear any echo anymore when they talk. But only one person told me that he can hear a slight one when I talk. But that was just once..

Yeah, the first one had echo. The second one (which I downloaded last night) doesn't (at least that's my experience so far).

it should still use both bottom and rear microphones but rear one should only filter out the noise around. i'll try to use it for camera too, maybe it will improve sound quality.

no and i won't bring it back because it was causing problems with screen not turning on or it was turning it on just by holding the screen. as Electry said it probably needed new firmware and there is nothing usable. it was me who was always bothering him with DT2W functionality but it was just a bad thing to do

Have you checked with headphones? Does the problem exist with headphones?

Did you try third party dialer? Like drupe?

ok, are there more owners of CN with echo on latest build?
all ROWs are without echo?
just want to make sure we finally found some difference between those variants.

while we're at it, i need CN owner to flash latest stock ROM,
root it with supersu because magisk won't work,
and on the PC do this:
adb root
adb pull /system cn-system

or you can copy /system folder to Downloads with some file manager that supports root and then copy it to PC like other files


this will extract all CN stock system files from phone to cn-system folder on PC.
you can then delete apps and priv-app folders in it, i don't need those.
now make a zip of that cn-system folder and upload it to google drive so i can download and compare it with ROW files we're using now.

i'd do it myself but i don't want to flash CN firmware on my ROW device and brick it.

I'am stuck when I try to install Magisk v.18: cannot mount /vendor partition.. ERROR: 1

I've TWRP 3.2.1-0 and I have tried prev versions of TWRP and Magisk too, but nothing has been solved.

Can anyone help? there are other way to root?

@Streakker you need twrp linked in first post for lineage 16, it has vendor support
