Welcome to the new beginning! This topic will be dedicated to our bring up of PIE for Nexus 6P. Google has dropped support for Pie on our devices. So, we will progress gradually.

These are ALPHA builds and may not be ready for daily use. They aim to serve base for feature addition. If you face any force close, you need to provide log to get it resolved. Make sure to keep eye on this post and latest discussions in this topic to help yourself.

Features:
  • Lots of goodies. More on the way. Read HERE.

What's working:
  • Most stuff.
Known issues:
  • Permissive build till we are ready
  • Sluggish on first boot / heavy load
  • No VoLTE
  • You tell us

Download:
ROM: Click Here (Always download latest for angler)
Gapps: Click Here (Recommended - Latest Arm64 nano Gapps variant)
TWRP: Click Here (Read install instructions carefully)
Vendor / Firmware: No specific bootloader/firmware needed for now. Vendor is included.

Installation:
  1. Backup before you begin!
  2. Remove PIN before rebooting to recovery
  3. This build supports FDE (not FBE) encryption only - which is same as we had on Oreo. If you have FBE, complete format is required to begin with.
  4. Format Userdata if coming from another ROM even crDroid Oreo
  5. Format System and Cache always
  6. Flash ROM + Gapps
  7. Do NOT flash Magisk with fresh install
  8. Reboot and let it settle!

Root instructions:
[*]Native root is not yet implemented.
[*]Do not flash Magisk with fresh install / first boot as it increases boot time drastically with logspam
[*]Once first boot is completed, reboot to recovery and flash Magisk 18.0 zip
[*]Reboot and install Magisk Manager APK manually
[*]Get Magisk zip and apk HERE

Thanks for the 9.0 build, have been on your 8.1 build for the last few days that you put out.

Glad you went the route of not switching to fbe encryption, I'm too lazy to change twrp and backup all my **** for an internal wipe.
Agreed! I hate the new fbe shizz. For one I don't want to run encrypted period. It wouldn't be so bad if all ROMs followed fbe & you had no choice. On the other hand with pie being in such an early state & having to go back & forth between Oreo & pie fbe just makes everything a pita. If I was going to stay on pie I could deal with it. Sucks having to swap recoveries & format internal just to test & have to return to Oreo & do it all again. But I've been doing it anyway.

Thank you for ROM, neobuddy69!
But the camera doesn't work after all. I wiped cache and dalvik but nothing changed. I flashed "dirty" with your instruction from your old version 8.1 crDroid ROM.
Give me an advice please. Thank you in advance
