Thank you for your recommendation. The application saved me a lot of time. Unfortunately it solved the effect not the cause. However, I found a solution ... after restoring the contacts I deleted the contacts on the Google account and stopped the synchronization for "Contacts". I think the problem is with the google contacts synchronization application and not the ROM.

Unfortunately, after one day of operation the contacts were doubled, tripled again. It seems that this bug is not related to syncing with the google account that was stopped.

Signal private messenger does not work in Reloaded CAF on Redmi 3S ... Messages app crashes or stops when I want to write sms. Has anyone else encountered these bugs?

I finally found out the cause of the contacts from "Contacts" being duplicated or tripled on my Redmi 3S. In "Contacts-> Settings-> Contacts to display" if choose "All contacts" the contacts will be doubled ... if you have accounts like Whatsapp, Signal. If in this case you select in Contacts-> Settings-> Contacts to display-> Custom and select only the Google account the contacts in "Contacts" will be displayed correctly! So the problem is how the contacts from the different accounts that you have on the device are manipulated by the "Contacts" app. Maybe this "Contacts" behavior will be resolved in the future.

In order to solve the problem of duplicating contacts when installing the Whatsapp I used to correct contacts "Merge +" app from Google Play ... it works perfectly.
