Which actually there are two things that I would like to make this rom perfect. I would really like the quickstep launcher version that has the ability to force adaptive icons on "legacy apps". Essentially, I want to see all apps have the system default rounded square. Secondly I would love to have access to an adaptive brightness button in qt. Please and thanks, Ryan. Otherwise, good job.

I got an OpenDelta update notification about an official OmniROM 9 build being available. I assume that's based on this work to get the device ready and approved as an officially support device? If so, awesome work and many many thanks!

I'll be trying the official build later today to answer myself, but any idea if this 9 build supports device encryption on potter?

I was happy to see a Pie OmniROM for the G5 Plus, as I was using vache's 8.1 OmniROM on this device for all of the last year as my daily driver. Thanks, vache!!
I did a clean install of this 9.0 version yesterday with fresh pico GApps, and then restored my apps/settings from a Nandroid backup. I really like the ROM, so far. One of two issues I'm seeing now are the fingertip scanner and associated options in the Security settings are gone. There isn't any way to reset the fingerprints, or make that an option to unlock the device. Strangely, the Pie "Lockdown" button can be added to power options, which removes biometrics, but I can't figure out how to add biometrics to the phone (i.e. fingerprint unlock). I'm using a passcode to unlock the phone, so not a huge deal.

The second issue is on reboot, the ROM took a very long time to detect the SD card (several minutes). Once it found the SD card, the ROM has been performing very well.

I'll second the other user who has been asking about encryption. I once tried to encrypt this same phone using the 8.1 OmniROM, and it bricked the device.

Thanks again for the great looking/performing 9.0 potter build.

Did a clean install on a device with encrypted /data. Secure start / PIN dialog appeared. Entered the correct PIN. ROM reported that the PIN was correct but /data was corrupt.
Clean installed another ROM and /data worked perfectly.

I had a similar problem when I updated to the 9-20190120-potter-WEEKLY that arrived through OpenDelta -- see: https://forum.xda-developers.com/omni/help/moto-g5-plus-xt1687-failure-to-boot-t3892317

Device wouldn't go past the boot animation. Then I did a clean install of the same OmniROM release and the latest OpenGApps and all was well.

I can't find the setting to scramble the keys for PIN entry on the lockscreen. If it exists, where is it; if it's missing from this release, I hope it returns soon in a future update.
