I want to update to this and I have everything backed up and just wondering about wiping internal storage

I have the below on internal storage

Latest Twrp
Latest Firmware
Rom
Gapps
Magisk

So I boot into recovery and flash the latest firmware and then Twrp. Then once done I reboot into recovery again and flash the rom, gapps and Magisk

What I want to know is do I have to clear internal storage? My fear is that I go into bootloop and can’t get phone back to normal. I have everything backed up but if I save my back up to internal storage at least then I can restore it this way rather than having to go via adb as I have back up also saved on the laptop

So can I save the back up to internal storage and not wipe this when I go from Oreo to Pie as reading conflicting reports some saying yes I have to wipe others not

Try this: Before flashing Magisk, boot into the ROM and go through the setup process first. Once complete, boot into recovery and flash Magisk.

Let's have a go at this. CTS profile = False on this ROM means no Safetynet out of the box. Magisk users will be okay, but that doesn't help me.

On the 3/T the same issue exists on LOS/Based ROMs, but has been fixed by @nvertigo67 using flashable zips. See here:

To anwser the questions there. The OP5 isn't A/B partitioned. The build.prop is found under system/build.prop. (I've attached a copy in zip file.).

I'm on the latest build of the ROM (15th Sep) using the latest Firmware (9.0.8). See screenshot.

I need to know which date string matches the build's build fingerprint (https://github.com/crdroidandroid/a...seburger/blob/9.0/lineage_cheeseburger.mk#L43 ). I guess it's 2019-05-01 or 2019-04-01, but I don't want to download some op5 OOS builds to verify that.

Can you check which OOS version has the buildfingerprint "OnePlus/OnePlus5/OnePlus5:9/PKQ1.180716.001/1905271736:user/release-keys" and what's the value of ro.build.version.security_patch in that very version.

If I look at the last three commits of lineage_cheeseburger.mk (https://github.com/crdroidandroid/a...eseburger/commits/9.0/lineage_cheeseburger.mk ) I suggest to update the buildfingerprint to 9.0.7 (in other words: revert the latest), and use build fingerprint, blobs, firmware requirement and ro.build.version.security_patch from the same OOS version (9.0.7). Just a thought. For now I need to know the above.

I read eveything you've posted about the CTS Profile issue and thought i have enough to adapt your 3T script to work on the OP5. Using 'ro.build.version.security_patch=2019-05-01' i now have a CTS Profile=Passed. (See screenshots)

I'll post the zip, but i will stress that this is YOUR script and all YOUR work, and for that i am very grateful. (All i have done is change the date where applicable in the script).

Let me know if there's any issue with the above. Your reward is on it's way.

this just happened twice; i wasn't able to wake up the screen with the fingerprint but waked up fine with the puwor button.

I repeat, this happen sometimes and the phone is in High Performance mode.

Does anyone know how to solve an issue where I cannot add any security to my lockscreen? It goes through the steps but never actually adds a pin/pattern/password? This is a serious security risk, and I'm really stumped on how to fix it. I tried uninstalling Magisk and rebooting but to no avail. I'm decrypted, but I've never seen it cause an issue like this.

The only thing I have left to try is to encrypt the data and hope I can set a pin then.

PS. I'm on 5.10 and everything is working fine apart from the lockscreen security (only None or Swipe options work).

Flash the unlock zip that'll wipe finger print etc then boot back to system then readd if you want
