It means Factory Resetting the phone before booting the new ROM ! Basically erasing everything that could lead to bugs, start clean
Because you could always just flash the new ROM without erasing settings and apps, but 99% of the time, it's a really bad idea.

Been using the PE 10 BETA for two full days now and I have to say, it's amazing. Huge, huge props to Yash, great work dude, you have made my device far more enjoyable. The only minor gripe I have is that PE 10 lacks display calibration settings (I normally have sRGB mode because I find the default display mode too saturated), but other than that, nothing. Keep up the good work!

Patience ! It's just missing all device specific options for now, like Screen calibration, Alert Slider, vibration ... It will come eventually

OnePlus did some whackiness with its bootloader on 10, at least the HydrogenOS beta where it wont boot twrp of any kind right now, backup to the last Pie builds and it'll work fine

Well the 6.2 v2.2 Final build works too, just has a problem related to the HDR+ notification

Well, the PE 10 beta is awesome, a very good job from the dev(s) behind it. I'm just missing the facial recognition and the integrated equalizer but this ROM is my daily driver for now.

Well no, it's just like any AOSP ROM, it works with everything

In any music app, find the Equalizer in the app settings, it will take you to the system EQ
Just thought about it, it's not a system wide EQ like OOS though, it's a more classic AOSP EQ.

ROM is working great.
Very smooth and reliable so far.
I've been using OOS for quite a while as early AOSP builds weren't great. Things have apparently changed.

Unfortunately the maintainer will no longer be producing new builds. Future builds will only happen if a new maintainer takes on the work
