How can i add in power menu recovery or download mode?

To reboot to recovery, long press the restart button.

Download mode is not included anymore as it is a different method used for the power menu. You would need to get the systemui.apk from the original port rom and decompile and do the smali edits and decompile services.jar and do some smali edits in there. If you do that you might still be missing edits made to the systemui.apk by killswitch

Hi,
Got a S7 edge of Verizon and i live in Europe, recently with the latest security update camera and flashlight arent working, whenever i try to use them it says its being used by another program, so i thought id flash it an older official firmware, and it wouldnt let me downgrade, did flash the latest and camera and flashlight are still the same, so now i wanna try and root it and put 9.0 on it, ive been looking on here and i saw blackdiamond's rom its pretty popular and stable so i wanted to try it, but cant figure out which one is the right one or the latest one, like the most stable, i see a NFE.V4 rom and a N8.V8 rom.
Any help on which to chose AND the most important is how to download them....i tried many times to download both, only one mirror from Canada and its like completely dead...waited it like 1 hour to get 19mb downloaded, goes 40kbps for like 30 sec then goes to zero for 5 mins.....Any help pls?

I could be wrong but phones from USA are Snapdragon chipsets and this rom is for Exynos only.

Unfortunately the Verizon S7/S7E are snapdragon chipsets, blackdiamond NFE and N8V8 are both for Exynos chipset, you also have a locked bootloader so you can't install twrp or custom rom. There us unfortunately no way around this.

Find the previous Verizon firmware for your model on sammobile and flash via Odin. It will flash if the binary is the same.

To check binary in your phone open settings, about phone, software information and look at baseband version, check the 9th character in baseband this will usually be a number and this is the binary number.
Example:

Baseband Version
G935FXXS (6) ESH4

(Binary number)

It is binary 6 firmware.

Make sure the stock firmware you download from sammobile has this same number or higher. If you try flashing a lower number the process will fail at .sbin in Odin and the firmware will not flash. This is a fail safe put in by Samsung to stop people going back too far with firmware.

That might make the flash and camera work if it was working before. If the binary for the last version is lower you will need to try another firmware, perhaps the Tmobile one, but see if your previous firmware is compatible first. It will technically be like reverting the update. Then you can keep an eye on sammobile and see if they do another update past the one that has broken cam and install that via Odin

tried to flash this from sammobile the first time:
Date 2019-02-24 Android 8.0.0 PDA : G935VVRS9CSB1 CSC : G935VVZW9CSB1 --- Which should be 4 previous updates(they all should be security updates only as far as i know), did chose this as was the earliest of updates that had android 8.0, and Odin would fail, on phone would show ""Error SW REV CHECK FAIL : [aboot] Fused 11 > Binary 9""
Then i got the latest Date 2020-04-02 Android 8.0.0 PDA: G935VVRSBCTC1 CSC: G935VVZWBCTC1 --- and odin Passed, started the phone etc but same prob with camera
So the baseband now after looking at software info is is obviously G935VVRSBCTC1, still how can the Fused nr be 11 doesnt make any sense...im rly fkin lost here lol cuz on sammobile highest band nr is 9, if phone was on 11 how did it accept the latest firmware then, thats still 9 right?

The binary goes from 1-9 when it goes past 9 it starts from a-z

8 = binary 8
9 = binary 9
A = binary 10
B = binary 11

Like in bottom section of added pic

When you were trying to flash the B(11) binary it was failing on reverse software check, meaning you were trying to downgrade your firmware to a lower version (9), which is not allowed by Samsung

You should also try asking for more help in a Verizon thread as this is for blackdiamond (Exynos) and the people that use this phones have different firmware to yours. This also a custom rom thread and not for stock rom help. Best of luck

format "yes" internal storage, and data, system, cache, dalkim. I tried changing to ext4 or 2 and nothing. my version of twrp is 3.1.0

Flash your latest stock rom with Odin, this will restore all partitions etc to stock values
Then use latest official twrp 3.3.1 for your model from https://twrp.me/Devices/Samsung/

Then follow this:

How to install
custom rom

You will need:

*PC with Odin 3.13.1 or above
*TWRP .tar image for your model
*Rom
(Store on external memory/sdcard)
*Unlocked OEM

To unlock OEM

************************************
Go to settings, phone information, and tap build number until it says developer options unlocked, press back twice and go into developer options turn on OEM unlock
************************************

1. Put your phone into download mode by turning your phone off, now press volume down, power and home key at the same time until the screen turns green, then release the buttons.

2. Open Odin on your PC and plug the USB cable into your phone and press volume up.
You will see it is connected to Odin, (there will be a blue rectangle saying com:[number])

3. Select the AP section and load your TWRP .tar image in there.

4. Get ready to press volume up, home and power button at same time on your phone now press start on Odin, it will only take a few seconds, as soon as Odin goes green and says pass, press the volume up, home and power button combo until TWRP shows up on your phone screen. Now release button combo and unplug USB cable from your phone.

5. In twrp press wipe, then format. A keyboard will appear, type yes and press enter. Now press back to go to TWRP main screen and press reboot and select reboot to recovery. It will now reboot back into TWRP.

6. Press wipe again, then format, type yes, press enter. (Do this 3 times)
Press back to go to TWRP main screen and press wipe, select advanced wipe, check all boxes apart from OTG and SDCARD and swipe. (Do this 3 times)
Press back to go to TWRP main screen and swipe to factory reset. (Do this 3 times)

*****************************
You phone is now completely clear with no operating system and ready to flash a custom rom. When you downloaded your rom, you stored it on your sd card or external storage, you need to do this as when you do all the wipes it wipes your internal storage but not your sd card, that's why it says in advanced wipe don't check the sd card or OTG boxes.
******************************

7. Press back until you go to main screen in TWRP and select install, select storage, external (sd card) and select the rom zip. Now just swipe to flash.

Normally it will go into aroma which contains check boxes of extra items to add into the rom, check the ones you want and follow the onscreen aroma instructions and let it install. My roms do not have aroma and are straight flash so once you have flashes the rom the script on the screen will say installation finished. Now press back and select reboot, then press system. The phone will reboot, leave it 10-15mins to allow it to load the rom, be patient. Then you will be at the set up page just like starting a new phone. Set up from there and enjoy the rom.

Hello everyone,
I need your help please. After almost one year with the Light Rom, I decided to try this Rom. I did standard wipes (with Twrp recovery) and started the installation of this rom. After 100% was reached, the screen turned off and since than there are no life signs. I tried several strategies, holding power button for al least one minute (!!!), both alone and in combination with volum up/down and home button. I tried also those strategies with the charging cable plugged, even no life signs. No signs even connectig the phone to my computer. My last strategy has been, until today, to wait for the battery completely discharge (two days ago tha charge was about 40%): even no life signs. I am losing my hope, do you have some suggestions?
Thank you for your time.

This rom does connect to Galaxy Watch?

I was looking for a 9.0 rom and came here, I have searched in the thread and didn't found anything about this version. Just want to know if the galaxy watch connection works with this version? thanks in advance.

    Read this F.A.Q While the rom is Downloading.

    Q: Not passing SafteyNet.

    A : Not sure what went wrong, you could flash SafteyNet Magisk module to fix it.

    Q: How to use face unlock ?
    A : Unfortunately face unlock feature is removed officially by Google.

    Q: Can I dirty flash over Version Z.X.Y ??
    A : You can give it a shot but I'm not responsible for any errors.

    Q: How to use Samsung-Pay ?
    A : If you are here you should know already, Once you trip Knox, You cant, Forever.

    Q: Why Phone volume is too high ?
    A : Maybe because you choose dual speaker mod in aroma, Re-flash ROM and don't tick dual speaker option.

    Q: How to Get VoLte/Wifi calling ?
    A : Make sure you ticked correct OMC option in Aroma.
