May be yes, because the display can consume the most energie, you know it is made to choose in automatic mode the optimal power settings from night to daylight. I think it is ab to you, if you want to switch always display settings. Try out once yourself, and you'll see how is at a medium settings, outdoor, at daylight , by an incoming call, could you recognise the caller identity.

It sims to be a battery power buster for apps and services.

Yes and I think that there is a confliction between it and the Samsung battery system so it causes much battery drain

Ok i tested the rom and is a good rom, but it needs a bit more of optimization because it's a bit laggy compare to other oreo roms.

Which GPU libs are you currently using : Pie or Oreo ? (You can check that with Aida64 app under system section)
Pie libs are ****ed so chose Oreo one in TS kernel aroma.
