-Stock kernel: AntiGravity is a lite version of NGK, give it a try first, might be everything you need.

Addons:
-NoGravity App: works with AntiGravity Kernel as well, starting with v2.4.2 - check AGK thread for latest version.
-DTS:X: install NoGravity App and check Sound tab for download and info.
-Google Camera 5.1: Click Here

Installation:

1. Backup before you begin
2. Format Data (not entire internal storage) if coming from another ROM even crDroid Oreo
3. Format System and Cache always
4. Flash required firmware (one-time)
5. Flash ROM + GApps
6. Optionally - Flash kernel
7. Reboot and profit
   Note: First boot and finish setup is required BEFORE flashing Magisk or any addon!

- Optimized some things:
*Package is larger so do space used after flash, be careful when using stock+ gapps it might not fit in system(you may have to exclude 2-3 apps)
*First boot with a larger gapps package and updating the rom will take a while to boot(up to an hour depending on apps installed)
*ROM should be more smooth and fast now

You are correct, and AEX Pie supports it too, it's just not mentioned anywhere and ther's no setting for it.
