In order to install this rom I have to wipe data? I already have a pixel experience rom mounted on my mi pad 4 plus. Thanks
Hello,
Thanks for your interest in my work.
If you're coming from Pixel Experience you don't necessarily need to wipe data, but I would recommend that you do so, in order for you to have the best experience.

hopefully so the official build for mipad 4
This is not going to get Official Builds, unless we get Pie Edition to Official first. Unfortunately, we are far from that, but don't get your hopes down. I'll do my best to get Official Builds at some point.

Working on both models? Plus and lte?
Yes, it should work on every model (Mi Pad 4, Mi Pad 4 Plus, LTE or WiFi variants).
I only have The Mi Pad 4 (WiFi), so I can't test the others, but it should work.

One question, does PE rom only support ext4 partition format?
For now, only ext4 is supported. F2FS is not reliable yet, and I don't think it would work at all.

Ive tried on the Mipad 4 Plus and it works VERY well, only problem ive found is the smart cover wake/sleep doesnt work, can anyone confirm? (someone has confirmed it works fine on the 8" Mipad 4 )
Smart Cover does work on this ROM. I've seen you posting the same issue on other ROM threads as well. I have a Smart Cover and it works with no problems whatsoever.
I believe the problem is on your end. Try going back to MIUI and see if it works there. Maybe your persistent partition is damaged, or maybe there is an issue with your tablet.

Thanks for your reply, yes smart cover works for me on the Xiaomi.eu ROMs, but the WiFi turns off after every reboot, is that also a sign of a damaged persistent partition? Cheers

Try going to TWRP and wipe everything (cache, system, sdcard, dalvik, vendor) then do an installation of the China MIUI. See if everything works there.
If you have a damaged persistent partition, flashing the MIUI should fix it. So, after you see that everything works fine on MIUI, go ahead and install other ROMs.
If you have any sort of issue on the China MIUI, that can only mean that there's something wrong with your device. In that case, it's not a software issue.
So try installing China MIUI. Just flashing it could fix a lot of things for every other ROM that you will install afterwards.

Do we need to update to latest Xiaomi vendor? Or can we just ignore that and just flash this? I'm still on a PE that was done in May/June. No idea if there was any Vendor update recently.
