I have pushed a P_custom branch to github.....Although I have used a custom toolchain to build mine and cant say for sure if it will build successfully with the stock google toolchain..
Hey @spookcity, as you predicted the P_custom doesn't build direct from branch with Google toolchain (at least for me), but it does build with cherry-picks (for all but your last few P_custom specific changes). Been stable, fast and smooth so far..many thanks for this amazing work!! Just out interest, which toolchain have you been using?

P_custom builds fine on default sdk when reverting "O3 plus lots of optimization flags". With this it produces "internal compiler error"s.

Yes,as @Panzerknakker said if you revert the optimization flags it will build. This is what I expected. I have used This repo. Branch "arm-linaro-7.x" for my build up until now. I have built several toolchains, but it wont build for me with mine due to static lib issues. I plan to use crosstool-ng to build another toolchain whenever I have some time and use that.

A few questions:
Is root already integrated by default?
Could you post a list of all preinstalled packages?
Is there any Gapps package, that I shouldnt use for this ROM?

1. No root integrated. You can use Magisk. It's easy and works well.
2. Well, standard stuff really, calculator, file manager, music player, etc. Perhaps do a Google search if you need more info on this.
3. Any version of GApps for android 9 and for architecture arm should work just fine.

Well the best thing would probably be to have a look at the manifest. And there under package/apps you will find several lines. So you can expect that almost all of them are included in the rom. Otherwise just download and flash it, check it and have fun :) ;)

anyone knows how I can inspect CPU usage and / or any other internal usage? My phone started to slow down, if I use spotify the incoming call doesn't even shows up, just rings, and after 1-2 min the unanswered notification pops up. I want to track down the problem but don't know where to start.
I've cleared all partitions and reinstalled the ROM, but the slowdown kicks in about 20-30 mins.
thanks.

Could not extract update-binary

Hello,
I'm trying to install the LineageOS 16 for about 9 hours, but I have no chance. Always TWRP 3.3.1.0 stops with:

E:Could not extract 'META-INF/com/google/android/update-binary'
Error installing zip file '***'

Of course at first I did the Advanced Wipe as mentioned in the manual.

Can anyone help me?

My only guess is a bad download. Try to download the zip again. Can't really think what else it would be.

I've downloaded it again, also the version from June 11. Now it's "Patching system image unconditionally" for about 5 seconds an stops with

ERROR: 7
Error installing zip file...

Either you don't have a s5mini (G800F, kminilte) or you try to install the wrong ROM because there was no Lineage build from June 11 for this device.
Look at this page and choose a build you like > https://androidfilehost.com/?w=search&s=kminilte&type=files
If you have a G800F the installation will succeed 100% of the time.

As a new user I can't post links, but the one from June 11 ist linked in the changelog ("12-05-2019")
I also tried the one from July 1st.
I'm also sure, that I have a SM-G800F as mentioned under the accu.

Hmm, this is strange. You are the first person I've heard report this problem... My only thoughts. I'm using TWRP 3.2.3-0. perhaps try an older version ( no older than my mentioned version though are it will not work) Perhaps someone can confirm if the latest version(s) of TWRP work. I would assume so, but am not sure.
Only other thing I can think of is perhaps a corrupt sdcard?

I tried TWRP 3.2.3-0, 3.3.0-0, 3.3.0-1 and two different sd-cards.
At version from July 1st it says "Could not extract ... update-binary", at version from June 9 it says Error 7.

:(

Maybe next TWRP Version will work.

I don't think so. This really makes no sense to me as no one else has had this problem. You've already done everything I can think of though,so hopefully someone else will have some suggestions/ideas. I'm at a loss.

Maybe you can post the exact file name of the rom you flashed, instead of posting a link. or you can write the link without www. and .com or .de. So that we can see what you have flashed. Also you can write the exact name of your device. Should be displayed in about phone or inside the device on the label below the battery.

I'd flashed dirty from Test4-build and everything works, last TWRP, device without SIM.
Thanks from my side again!
