I see the WLAN disconnects and reconnects when the phone changes it's GSM/LTE cell.
E.g. walking inside a WLAN supplied house from the window front south to the north side.

A restart often fixes this issue. This did not happen with the original samsung build. Does anyone else has this problem?

I also encountered problems with the proposed camera. Especially recording videos is not possible. Any ideas here?

And as a last question: I did not save the original rom for a backup. Where can I find the samsung rom in case I want to go back?

mh jeah that could work. However, it is a rather bad solution because that just shouldnt happen. But I guess it is really hard to fix

I use the Airplane mode after a reboot to connect to the Network when it is not connecting automatically. I have had no connectionproblems when the phone is running.

Thanks for the log. Sadly there is nothing there that jumps out at me as an issue really. I will do a little searching when I have some time and see if I can find anyone who has perhaps had and solved this issue. Maybe with some luck I will stumble upon something useful.

Hello, I have been using the ROM for a while now and I am very satisfied. Everything is fully suitable for everyday use. The occasional Wlan crashes are not nice, but to cope. Maybe there is also a solution for it. Thanks again to spookcity138 for the great work.

I disabled Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, also the WiFi search is disabled and GPS and NFC also. The automatic synchronization is also off, I synchronize manually. In addition, I use Intelli3G, so the phone in standby is always in 2G mode, so no great search for better network. At night I turn on flight mode. Nevertheless, I only come to a running time of 24 hours, then the battery is down to about 5 percent (usually I charge more, or change the battery). Screen time about 1.5 to 1.75 hours. I would be interested to know what experiences you have with the battery life? Is it similar to you? The S5 mini has never had superior battery life, but with Stock-Rom or with Lineage 14, I have always managed 1.5 to 2 days. Does the ROM need so much?

With 2 days since the last charge I'm currently down on 20%, a active screen time of 50min and 2h 19min wake time. (I use BetterBatteryStats for this)
My usage pattern is like yours with the exception that I have the automatic syncronisation on. So as soon as I activate the Internet I get a ****load of messages
In my experience with this type usage pattern the screen is the biggest battery drain. Every now and then I set my display standby time to 30min to prevent the phone from going dark during a large download (Using a magisk module I have GMS on Doze so going to standby would cancel the download). When I forget to reset this (even if I manually turn off the screen with the power button) the battery lasts less than a day. The same thing happens with turning up the brightness on a sunny day. Although I don't turn on the screen that much it seems to be enough that it feels like the battery is drained a bit faster than usual. My brightness is normally around 10 - 20%.

I use the German o2 network with a simcard where volte is activated but I don't have any settings to active volte.
Do I need a German o2 branding?
Currently when making a call the network does change for LTE / 4g back to umts / 3g which does take ages.

thanks the store alternatives works fine, not sure which of the boh a fancy more. I could not find any soluion for my german o2 VoLTE issue, do i need a Branding or is there another solution?

I also have problems of sync my google contacts as well as calendar entries, is there any simple solution for?

I noticed also wifi disconnections while I have 2.4ghz and 5 ghz wifi band in one AP of my router. And after separating or establishing 2 wifi aps, one with 2.4 ghz and one with 5 ghz in my router, and connected my device either to the one or the other, I had stable wifi also during deep sleep. Unfortunately the possibility to switch wifi frequency manually from automatic to only one of both was removed from sources since I think beginning of oreo. One can add an entry in build prop but then you alwyas have to change it there if you want to switch to the other band. This are only my experiences, but maybe it helps other too to tear down the wifi disconnection problem. :fingers-crossed:

Yeah! Thank you for your fantastic work. I would like to tell you about an annoying problem that I am experiencing these days, I have continuous reboots while for example I make a video or upload a story on Instagram. What could it be?
PS: I still use the 2019-08-11 version

Unfortunately after you latest update on 09/10 I encountered random reboots, soon (about 5 minutes) after the phone has successfully booted. I now have reverted to the previous version. Is there a solution, and does anybody else have this problem? Unfortunately I don't have a log on this, but I never had this problem before using your ROM.

I am not really sure what is causing your issue honestly,sorry. If it always happens when doing things related to video,then there is a good chance its related to that. The camera/video recording on this ROM is very far from perfect. Does it always happen when using Instagram?

Hmm,strange. I didn't test out the build I uploaded yesterday for as long as I usually like to before I post it on here. That said,I haven't had any reboots.
The only changes that would seemingly cause any real issues were the kernel commits. If others are having this issue as well I will look into it when I have some time,but as I said I haven't had a reboot in a day plus now.

Just wanted to say that the 9/10 ROM runs stable since two days now, no reboots for me. Thanks a lot for your work! At first glance, the Wifi seems more stable, but let's observe this for some days.

Sorry didn't pull log's before restoring to previous build but hopefully info below helps,maybe's?

only thing i've changed is Network to Reno in TA ,no other modifications (just an addition from old days when I used as my daily)
changed recommended data from LTE to 3g in LOS settings, massive improvement in battery life,I'm on O2 uk carrier and phones biggest drain is network
no social media,no gaps, all apps F-droid apart from Navigator(direct download apk)

Process:
backup data in twrp(back up apps in TB just in case)
usual format & full wipe before installing to new build
reboot then reboot back to recovery
wipe data,copied data backup & reboot again
reboot to recovery & install magisk after

everything worked ok prior to the last update then repeated booting within couple of mins after connecting to wifi via Expressvpn app
quickly uninstalled Expressvpn app before reboot and tried again then reboot on file explorer also
returned to TWRP, wipe process again,installed build then recovered apps via TB minus expressvpn at first then reboot again followed by constant rebooting within couple of mins,wifi connected at the time no vpn or firewall

returned to TWRP, wiped, re-installed previous build copied over data and all working perfectly as before.

Thanks for your answer! For now it only happens when I want to upload a story to Instagram or when I make a video with the "Footej Camera" app. So I think it's related to the problem of video recording. If it continues like this I will be forced to return to the stock at least until everything is resolved. ?

hm yes footej also works for me but it might be a problem with the storage since stock camera only gives me "Insert an SD card before using the camera"
