Oh, I thought you already are rootedThanks for the hint. After a bit of cross-reading, I understand my dilemma. In answer to your questions: No and No.I'll leave it that way for now.
Did you may have an good explanation (link, site, ...) for magisk? I never really understood this app/programm/...thing.
Kind Regards.
Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought if this ROM is succesfully installed and used, the devices is rooted. Am I right?Oh, I thought you already are rooted
dont know if various safetynet fixes help with the issue, but it is worth a try...![]()

If you didnt use Magisk it was not rooted before. But if your device doesnt pass safetynet apps can see that your device has been tinkered with. Some even recognize that while safetynet is passing.Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought if this ROM is succesfully installed and used, the devices is rooted. Am I right?
I allready read some sites there they installed and used Magisk, but I never und understand why it's nessessary. In other devices I use(d) (e.g. Galaxy A5 2017 with /e/OS and BQ Aquaris X with LOS 18.1) there was currently no need for Magisk.
What do you think?
Kind Regards.
So, what else did I do? Only flashing - this is more a question of definition - ? With the other phones I mentioned I'm able to use the Vodafone-App (without Magisk). What could be the difference? If you didnt use Magisk it was not rooted before. But if your device doesnt pass safetynet apps can see that your device has been tinkered with. Some roms pass safetynet by default, because they use workarounds, others dont. So, what else did I do? Only flashing - this is more a question of definition - ? With the other phones I mentioned I'm able to use the Vodafone-App (without Magisk). What could be the difference?
To use these kind of apps, I need to hide that I'm using a Custom-Rom. To pass SafetyNet I have to use Magisk, right?
Kind regards
I'm kind of fascinated. In case of the SafetyNet - i didn't pass. With MagiskHide I'm able to use the app. Thanks alot! So if I need to use some other apps, I'll try the riru-thing.Yea, idk if
Some roms pass safetynet by default, because they use workarounds, others dont.
I think this fix can be helpful too, if magisk hide doesnt fix the problem. Just install the riru core module before and then the linked zip file (riru version) via Magisk.
It is always worth to read this thread, e.g. post #960 and following.Another topic: Battery consumption of my device concerns me a lot. I used the tool "Better Battery Stats" to may find out the reason. The tool shows a service called " *telephony-radio* " which causes "much" battery drain and a remarkably high count in "partial wakelock".
Does anyone know anything about it?
Kind Regards
Thanks, but I read and did almost everthing of this (exept the GApps thing - I don't use it). My conclusion is, that I'll never say there is a bug in LOS. It seems that not everyone has this problem and I can't locate it even not the service " *telephony-radio* ". That's why, I ask...It is always worth to read this thread, e.g. post #960 and following.

@spookcity138 CAn you please re-upload it?
But they are 5 weeks old and already on my phones...The latest build seems to have vanished, but the build one week earlier is available:
microG: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664840598
without: https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=7161016148664840599
Can someone upload the latest version (20211221) please
Using lineage-16.0-20220128-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte+(microG).zip basically as a media player device. I need WLAN/WIFI for updates over F-Droid and Aurora Store and noticed that going into Wi-Fi Settings by long pressing the icon and then turning on Wi-Fi and selecting the SSID seems necessary also in this build.@spookcity138
- WIFI doesn't automatically reconnect after leaving and coming back to a known WIFI.
- SEVERE: Phone doesn't accept incoming calls (takes a long time for the caller with no feedback, then it directly switches to mailbox)
- outgoing calls often blocked, meaning it instantly ends the call after starting it
messengers like WhatsApp or Threema don't get notified about new messages until the are opened although they are "not optimized" in battery options. Maybe only temporary issue, will see...
Using the non microG version, I see WIFI problems only after restart the device. Then I have to toggle WIFI 2-3 times to build up the connection. After that only one toggle is sufficient.Using lineage-16.0-20220128-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte+(microG).zip basically as a media player device. This ROM was dirty flashed probably 2-3 times over a previous version.
Did not test the SIM phone call App.
Same for me, but it's just a question of settings.Using the non microG version, I see WIFI problems only after restart the device. Then I have to toggle WIFI 2-3 times to build up the connection. After that only one toggle is sufficient.
