Just flashed this on sm-800F, seems to be working fine, much more responsive than samsung's android 6, thanks!

I've just built the rom (P branch on the gh repo), it's working fine, thanks!

I'm not very experienced in rom cooking, but maybe I can help? By picking a "not working" item (which one)? Or by trying to build it for lineageOS 17? Or something else?

I recently upgraded the baseband firmware to the last Version G800FXXU1CTK1 and now I am experiencing some kind of hangups with mobile data. Anyone else have such problems?
In the dropdown menu, under the mobile data button, it states "LTE", but in the status bar theres no "LTE", just the signal level ramp in that case. Data connections don't work if this happens. A complete reboot is nessesary to fix this. I'm not shure if its related to the Firmware upgrade or not but this is new to me.

No, I just reverted to TWRP 3.1.1 and flashed the file directly from TWRP Zip install.
I used the file from this thead: [EoL] [Basebands/Modems] SM-G800F/H/M/Y [02.01.2021] & 6.0.1 StockRom F/H/M/Y mirror (TWRP-Flashable-Modem_G800FXXU1CTK1_27.11.2020). Worked fine so far.
i tried and just download the 4 file Stockfirmware and unzppid the file.
flashed boatloader 1 time and baseband 2 times. with Odin
after that reset the APN for the Network and all works fine.

i case that some need it , in Post#1027 i added the bootloader and Baseband file. G800FXXU1CTK1
its only for Odin, you have to unzip the file and add the *.tar on Odin under BL and CP.

The problem with the camera is not only existing in the CW or CovPass Or CovPassCheck.
Also some other new APPs will not focus the picture anymore. They take up to 3 pictures in huge delay steps without focusing.
This is only an issue with lineagos not offcial android.

May this is related to: https://gitlab.com/LineageOS/issues/android/-/issues/4189

see also https://github.com/Digitaler-Impfnachweis/covpass-android/issues/114

there is probably a fix for some apps but the issue is deeply in LineagOs as far as I understand. May someone with knowhow can answer

So guys, I'm not 100% sure of this as I've not really followed these things recently, but Los 16 has not merged the latest monthly security patches for a couple of months now. I'm not sure if they have stopped supporting it or what, but if that's the case then I'm afraid that my updates will be done as well.

I'll continue to check their Gerrit for asb updates for a bit though. Just a heads up.

  • WIFI doesn't automatically reconnect after leaving and coming back to a known WIFI.
  • SEVERE: Phone doesn't accept incoming calls (takes a long time for the caller with no feedback, then it directly switches to mailbox)
  • outgoing calls often blocked, meaning it instantly ends the call after starting it
  • messengers like WhatsApp or Threema don't get notified about new messages until the are opened although they are "not optimized" in battery options. Maybe only temporary issue, will see...
Using lineage-16.0-20220128-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte+(microG).zip basically as a media player device. I need WLAN/WIFI for updates over F-Droid and Aurora Store and noticed that going into Wi-Fi Settings by long pressing the icon and then turning on Wi-Fi and selecting the SSID seems necessary also in this build.
This ROM was dirty flashed probably 2-3 times over a previous version.
Did not test the SIM phone call App.

When using my g800f for bike navigation some time after disabling the screen GPS / GNSS fix is lost.
To add to the problem, when turning back on the screen it will not aquire a fix until the next phone reboot. GPS apps show 0 satellites visible in this state.

This happens for both Location: High accuracy and Location: Device only setting.
Does anyone know how to prevent this from happening, or even properly debugging this? I'm using Osmand for navigation, but I think it's not Osmand which is causing the loss. I used it on another phone before and there this worked. Osmand also has an option to turn back on the screen some time before an upcoming turn, so this is an intended mode of operation.
keeping the screen on is not an option, the power consumption goes from high to unusably brutal.
When I attach a cable for debugging, the loss of fix doesn't happen.

thanks spookcity138 and everyone else involved in keeping this device alive! There are so few phone-sized Androids out there, it's about impossible to get a replacement.

Using the non microG version, I see WIFI problems only after restart the device. Then I have to toggle WIFI 2-3 times to build up the connection. After that only one toggle is sufficient.

They do merge the newer security patches (sp), but since they probably missed one part of them they wont bump up the security patch level shown in the settings, but the feb sp is already merged and the march sp is on gerrit.
Hi SirRGB, I have found your local manifest files (https://github.com/SirRGB/local_manifests/tree/main/kminilte) for building spookcity138's lineage version. So far I was able to build a new image, but I am unsure, if the build is complete.
Especially, has spookcity138 added some apps etc. which are not pulled with this manifest files? As I am using my S5mini's daily, I want to make sure, that I can dirty flash this new build over spookcity138's build.
Thanks in advance.

Well yes, the manifest tracks the non-microg version, which does not include simplecamera and doesnt needs the micro g repo. In addition you need to apply the patches (in the patch(/optional_patches) folder) by running the apply.sh.
btw here is spookcitys own manifest...

Same for me, but it's just a question of settings.
Go in WiFi settings and set "WiFi automatic activation" to "on". Then WiFi will be correctly activated on next reboot.

I have same problem. Failed to identify dependency with any settings. This is bad, because is a critical disadvantage for this device. Also, I have a problem with quick self-discharge, including when device is off, but looks like this is a malfunction specifically of my device, not sure.

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Not Working
    • HWC (Hardware Composer)
