How I see, there is no any significant updates after january. Critical bug of lost GPS location after screen off managed to solve somehow? I try to use S5M in ride, because he is compact, but this bug is spoils everything.

I don't know if someone posted it already in this thread, but you can also use HedgeCam 2.

You only need to enable Camera2 API in the settings (scroll down). Then it works on the S5M.
I use this also on another "broken" device of mine where other camera apps don't record video at all.

However, there is a little drawback: it doesn't record in FullHD.

But I thought it would maybe help someone :)

As written earlier I have exchanged the GPS files against the newest files from the 2022 update DBT-G800FXXU1CVG5, and I have the feeling, that I get a more stable fix with this update...

Hi,
So far everything is going well. The only problem I have is with webview. I tried to install it using the magisk module "webview manager" but after rebooting it does not appear in developer options.
Has anyone been able to install it? some apps ask me for it.

I have uploaded a new build with the December patches for Lineage 16. (P_asb_2022-12)
lineage-16.0-20230101-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte.zip
The md5sum is:
5460a26a0bc698c9cb30c5d9062c6493 lineage-16.0-20230101-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte.zip
[no MicroG]
Hi,
I'm currently using the latest MicroG build from the opening post (lineage-16.0-20220128-UNOFFICIAL-kminilte (microG)).
Would you or anyone perhaps consider doing a MicroG build of the above?

Hi there,

first, thanks for keeping this ROM alive! I've just saved my wife's S5 mini from the bin by flashing LOS 16. However, I am now facing the Netguard/VPN Problem.

There seems to be a solution for klte devices… would there be any possibility to correct this issue in emil19's ROM? I'll be no help there, but would be willing to test.

TIA, Martin

Sorry for the late reply. As I have not tried to build the MicroG version and I do not use it, I have no knowlege on bulding and testing this variant...
Therefore I do not plan a MicroG version at the moment.
I hope you understand my position.:(

Is there any way to install webview bromite?
I have tried both the bitgapps addon and the magisk module and although they are installed correctly then the apps still ask me for webview and in advanced options does not let me change the version of webview. it is always the default as an option.

Neither with this methode because is not listed:

You can install Bromite SystemWebView only if the above output contains a packagename="org.bromite.webview" with the correct signature block or without a corresponding E: signature block (NOTE: without signature it will be UNSECURE as any package with that name can be installed, see previous paragraph explaining how SystemWebView installation works on Android).

Has someone tested SirRGB kernel changes? Should I go with this changes?

I have only tested with openVPN, but my faulty function has not improved, but this is may be the combination of openVPN, AFWall+ and the application...

As I said you can do a microg build by following these instructions before building:
    Code:
    git clone https://github.com/Exodusnick/android_vendor_partner_gms vendor/partner_gms -b main
    export WITH_GMS=true

    Code:
     * Your warranty is now void.
    *
    * I am not responsible for bricked devices, dead SD cards,
    * thermonuclear war, or you getting fired because the alarm app failed. Please
    * do some research if you have any concerns about features included in this ROM
    * before flashing it! YOU are choosing to make these modifications, and if
    * you point the finger at me for messing up your device, I will laugh at you.

This is a LineageOS 16 ROM for the Exynos3470 based Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (G800F/G800M/G800Y)
DO NOT USE IT FOR G800H OR YOU WILL BRICK YOUR DEVICE

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 9.0 (Pie), which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.

All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

    Not Working
    • HWC (Hardware Composer)
    • Encryption - Trying to encrypt your device will stop suddenly after a few seconds and possibly cause a bootloop.
    • SELinux
    • Video recording doesn't work in all apps or with all camera applications

    How to install
Note You must use the latest version of TWRP
    • Download the latest build of LineageOS 16 or LineageOS 16-microG
    • Reboot into TWRP recovery (Press Volume-Up + Home + Power button)
    • Perform a full wipe (Dalvik Cache, Cache, System and Data (inside Wipe -> Advanced Wipe)
    • Flash ROM

    Changelog
    Code:
    * Synced LOS sources

    * Merged latest lineageos/hardware/samsung sources into our hardware/samsung repo
    * Dozen or so kernel commits

    * Updated GPS config (Thanks to @mongo0 for the tip)
    * Fixed called forwarding setup crashing/issues (Thanks to @rodman01)

    * Removed patches to keep LiveDisplay - So no more LiveDisplay (Lineage is going with Night Light instead)
    * Added "ro.config.small_battery" (This will trigger device-idle in 15
    minutes instead of 30 minutes)

    Enjoy!

    Updated

Small changelog this month as I didn't have any time to really look into the remaining issues. Also, due to circumstances I was unable to perform a clean install for the first time. So I only dirty flashed it and it seems OK to me.

    Code:
    * Synced LOS sources
    * Latest security patches (July 2019)
    * Few kernel commits related to network (thanks to @rodman01)
    * Update GMSCore prebuilt to latest for the microG build
