hey. is there a fix for bad conection? I mean, whenever I answer a call, about 5 seconds later, it drops and says "no network available". that's odd because it's not a wifi call or volte call. and the internet is working flawlessly. I think this is the same problem reported by @vezdebest (post #499)

New Build 20210307

Download:

arm

Changelog:
  • March, 2021 Security Patch.

Notes and Tips:
  • Avoid using any custom tweaks or playing with kernel settings. It will only make device more unstable, especially arm64 version.
  • This build passes Device Certification in Play Store without Magisk and shows "Device is Certified."
  • Safetynet can also be tested using Magisk Manager's in-built "Check Safetynet" feature.
  • Some apps like SBI Yono, SBI Lite, etc still doesn't work or detect root. Even Magisk Hide won't help, due to the security implemented into the apps.
  • In future, if this build doesn't pass Safetynet, try using "MagiskHide Props Config" module.

Can I flash arm build over arm64? Or do I need to wipe system?

I dont think dirty flasing ARM over ARM64 will work, better to do a complete system wipe and flash the ARM64 then
Yea, I had to wipe system and data to get it to work.
However, my phone is now unable to pickup the 4G LTE signal that it could easily on the ARM64 build. The signal reception is worse than stock. What do?

Flashed the ARM64 build and LTE works again. Looks like something is wrong with LTE in the ARM build.

Since 20200115 is running well for you, what's the point in dirty flashing another older build even if it works out?

The ROM has changed hands a couple times, device trees too. If a stable upgrade is what you want, consider a clean start with the newest release. You could clean flash the current March build and dirty flash builds that follow from the same developer, which could be any day now if recent releases are an indicator.

Hey,

I've had random reboots when the phone seems to be doing something slightly intensive. Uninstalled Magisk and it's still happening so I believe this ROM is the cause. I just want a working phone again so I want to install the latest official ROM and call it a day. Can anyone help me in doing this?

Any advice is greatly appreciated.

If you're using ARM64 there's a good chance ARM will be more stable. I recommend giving AOSiP another chance if you haven't been running recent builds. They've been very stable for me.

But Moto's stock Android is no slouch either. The easiest way to install it is with TWRP:

The fastboot method is best if you want to restore stock recovery and re-lock the bootloader:

Heads up about build OPJ28.111-22-1 versus OPJ28.111-22 if you intend to root with Magisk: Last time I used '22-1' it wouldn't pass SafetyNet check without help from an extra module.

Thank you very much for your help, @manjaroid

I followed the fastboot method and everything is looking a lovely vanilla again. Nowhere near as sleek as this ASOIP custom ROM and it lacks many of the QoL features I've grown accustomed to. But my phone is more reliable and I think I'll call it quits with tinkering.

Thank you again for your help. :D

I flashed it and the only bug i found is that in Camera app i can't activate the flash (in selfie camera i can, in video mode too, in back camera it is grayed out)

EDIT: network (4g for example) doens't seems to work (Italy, carrier TIM)
with *#*#4636#*#* ping to google says fail(2) and test client http says Fail: IOException (with wifi it passes, the sim works on another device)
i can dial my carrier but after few seconds it says "no network aviable"
is it possible that this rom has wrong modem/baseband/kernel/something like that? How to fix?
(edit4 now it works)for whoever is in the same situation just download last oreo firmware from here, unzip it, copy fsg and nonhols in your adb directory and perform in bootloader "fastboot flash modem NON-HLOS.bin" "fastboot flash fsg fsg.mbn" and then "fastboot reboot.
Hi. I didn't understand. Please, can you provide step by step. My daughter is driving me crazy.

    New Build 20240314

    Download:

    arm

    Changelog:
    • March 2024 Security Patch.
    • Security string not bumped (Uses January, 2022)
    • Timezone Data updated.

    Disclaimer / Pre-requisites:
    1. Flash at your own risk.
    2. Make a TWRP backup before flashing a new build.
    3. Downgrading Builds is not supported.
    4. Clean flash is required, If you are downgrading the build.
    5. Oreo Baseband (MSM8952_70030.25.03.77R) is required.

    Important Notes:
    1. This build passes Safetynet and shows "Device is Certified" in Play Store. If Safetynet doesn't work in future, use "MagiskHide Props Config" module.
    2. Avoid using any custom tweaks or playing with kernel settings. It will only make device more unstable, especially arm64 version.
    3. Some apps like Yono SBI, Yono SBI Lite, etc sometimes work and sometimes doesn't work or detect root. Don't root, if you want to use Banking apps. Even Magisk Hide won't help, due to the security implemented into the apps. It may also not work, if the apps, that require root but they work if specific permissions granted through adb, are installed or actively running in background.
    4. On ARM version some Games/Apps like Real Racing 3, Brawl Stars, Anydesk etc crash. Use ARM64 version, if you want more functional ROM.
    5. WhatsApp Voice Message is broken.
    6. Security String is still January 2022 because it was the last official security patch for Pie. All the patches after that are backports from higher Android versions, ported by LOS developers.

    NOTES

    • Do not flash LoonyKernel. Rom already ships with LK along with LK tweaks. If there's a kernel update, I'll separately post kernel update zips for my AOSiP builds.
    • Recommended TWRP: Download [Thanks to Lyuu]
    • Recommended OpenGapps Package are Pico and Nano. Users may go for Micro if they want pixel launcher. Any other higher packages is not recommended and may unnecessarily use more memory.
    • Spectrum support is inbuilt so you just have to install spectrum app from play store to switch b/w different modes depending on the task/activity you are doing.

    What's not working
    • SELinux (Disabled for now)
    • FM radio does not work
    • Video recording (Use open camera or asus camera)
    • In-built camera of some social media apps does not work (e.g. whatsapp)
    • Flashlight QS toggle (chop gesture works)
    • If any other you encounter please report with proper logs

    Changes for AOSiP-9.0_r34: AOSiP-9.0-Pizza-athene-20190310.zip
    • March security updates merged
    • Sync with latest AOSiP source changes (check gerrit)
    • Update brightness overlays. Minimum brightness should be fine now.
    • Improved spectrum gaming and battery mode
    • Added more network modes (3g, lte, gsm etc.)
    • Add toggle to disable sim
    • Integrate custom FP sensor gestures to LineageActions (Settings->System->MotoActions). No need to flash fp-patch now.
    • Cleanup and update lock screen charging info. Few language strings have been updated accordingly.
    • Kernel updated to release 13:
      • Switch to Lineage's version of sdFAT and apply some v3.10 upstream patches which were left as the driver was never part of mainline.
      • Revised and nuked lot of unwanted kernel patches.
      • Cleanup and fixed some minor moto derps.
REMINDER: Flash recommended opengapps package, read post#2 for more details.
