He posted that he fixed that. DId you install the updated version? Have you tried flashing recovery root zip again?

Am I correct in saying that until CWM is updated with the new kernel, you can either have cwm with the old kernel, or only have the new stock recovery/kernel?

Nah, pretty sure you can have the new kernel even with CWM using the older one.

The upload for DeOdexed is at 70%. These huge ROMs suck.

How is this possible? Recoveries and kernels occupy the same partition in samsung phones. Isn't that right?

Yes the sammy phones need such and recovery built into the kernel way different than HTC but sammy phones are do much easier to root

I believe, unlike the E4GT, the S3 has a separate partition for recovery but I could be wrong.

I suppose the next logical step would be to get a screenshot of the new software with the latest cwm (v4) and confirm that the kernel is indeed the newest one.

Be that from the fact that either 1) the kernel and recovery are in two different partitions, or 2) cwm v4 already has the latest ota kernel baked in.

Right?
