My camera app isn't working even though I disabled pin on boot. Strangely though it does work in whatsapp.. How might this be? :laugh:

Try Google camera NX, it can just be the camera app's problem

Are you flashed ROM like OP says without wipe system?! Then try Camera NX 7.4 , you will find tread on XDA. Must work!

I did exactly as I was supposed to but camera nx is not working aswell..

I've just flashed the ROM as described on first post. Everything works perfect except CAMERA.
I disabled the Secure Start, reboot and ... but still it's not working.
Even I installed Camera NX and no success.

The same happened to me today. Just installed the ROM plus GAPPS 9 stock plus magisk. Everything works fine - even the flashlight works. But the camera force closes as soon as you click on it. I also disabled secure boot. Still the camera is not working.

One other thing I just noticed is that face unlock does work on my phone. Even though the camera app doesn't....

One suspected bug: right after turning off the WiFi tethering (either in settings menu or quick settings panel), the device reboots itself. I'll try to capture some log. Turning on the tethering is working well.

I have the same bug as well. It's kinda annoying but I'm gonna ignore it anyway since I don't use tethering much.

it's a known bug. I will be the only one who works with wifi tethering!I think it's something in the kernel, I'm currently on Sphinx 3.4

i fixed my problem and it turned out it is a bug . if u have a secure start up like pattern u cant use the rom becouse is seems at least for the first boot the rom only support pin for secure start up and i had pattern for that so it asked me pin instead of pattern and that was why i couldnt boot the rom

This is inaccurate. You can use your pattern by simply using the corresponding numbers on the PIN numpad.

I had installed the PieX BETA ROM a good while ago on Oct 17th, on my nexus 5x.
It works quite well for me. Except for faster battery drain, I have not had any notable issues.

Any general estimate on when the official version of this ROM will be ready?
(just for an idea).

If VoLTE isn't working, could you please disable/hide volte so that apps like Jio4gVoice can start handling those calls?

Currently, that app detects that the phone has volte support and won't receive calls in the app.

Flashed on my nexus 5x. Apart from little restarts sometimes i.e. when hotspot is enabled/disabled it's working fine.
I just found no way to install magisk successully. I tried magisk 16.1,16.3 and 16.7, the device boots correctly but it is not unlockable (dark screen after entering the pin and then goes back to the lockscreen).
Did someone manage to root this rom?

If you get that bug, you have to reinstall the rom. I have faced thì once and a reinstallation helped. About the root, it always works for almost everyone else

If that is the case it seems like i'm doing something wrong. I have that problem only when I install magisk (i'm using the flashable zip from Here) and it goes away if I run the magisk uninstaller.
I flashed the zip from TWRP.

Mind that I have the NO RPMB problem described here so when I flash magisk I have a locked bootloader (with twrp installed), the magisk installation reports no error and the cell phone boots just fine though.
As soon as I have time i'll try to flash magisk after unlocking the bootloader.
