It's a great rom. My phone has come back to life. Thank you.
This is one of the most bugless Roms, What exactly did you do?Bootloop on Z00L
I dont think I did anything wrong, Downloaded latest gapps and build. wipe cache and before that I did a cleanflash.
It stucks on boot animation turns itself off then repeats it over and over
Connect your phone to charger then Power it up sometimes boot loops are related to damaged batteries
Resurrection remix works but laggy and buggy, will try ur suggestion
how to unlock the bootloader and install the twrp recovery?... someone help me guys..
Well you can't use the official way because asus doesn't support our device anymore but there's an unofficial way to unlock the bootloader, check this out

is this rom still in development? is it getting the security updates etc?
It has some bugs, it should be developed but its about 10 months that we didn't get any update if you want a custom rom with updated security patch use groovy android

just installed this rom but its bootlooping even after i unlocked the bootloader. had the same problem with groovy a few months ago...It has some bugs, it should be developed but its about 10 months that we didn't get any update if you want a custom rom with updated security patch use groovy android

i can't even complete the first setup, rebooted like 20 times. my battery is new btw.
may something else be the problem? i thought it was my locked bootloader but now i fixed that. maybe boot.img file or kernel etc? can you share yours?
is this the correct, stock kernel?

Yes that's the stock kernel
I didn't have any bootloop in groovy nougat not a bit, and of course I didn't use any custom kernel with, but in AEX and R.R Pie yes I did use custom kernel, I'm not much of an expert but have you considered any hardware damage?
Have you had any problem in stock rom?
now I'm on R.R Pie rom with the latest ICEY_S kernel and some modifications and literally without any bug except selinux

i'm sure that my phone is fine, doesn't have any stability issues with the stock rom but it's really weird. i could install custom recovery and custom roms with the locked bootloader?
that was the adb check and i installed almost all the roms in this forum. all of them were crashing... some immediately, some after a couple hours... but none of them were stable.
today i finally unlocked it with the unofficial method(official app doesn't work anymore)
i thought locked bootloader was the problem but apparently not. since aex still bootloops and groovy crashed like 5 times already.
btw, is selinux an important issue? would you recommend that rom over this or groovy? (assuming icey is stable and i can use any of these roms)

i tried unlocking the bl but the app wasn't working. couldn't find any other way to unlock bl without root and i could somehow install twrp for rooting without an unlocked bl. so i just tried the custom roms.Well nowadays I'm seeing strange things and now you are one of them

btw i went back to stock recovery and rom since custom roms were are unstable. the phone was completely stable again. rooted and unlocked it with the stock rom&twrp today then tried aex pie, bootloops again... then installed groovy again, crashed a few times. now installed icey kernel. 2 crashes so far... the uptime is 47 minutes now. i've seen over 10 hours with groovy before, so i can't call it stable just yet.
what makes you choose rr pie over aex pie?
edit: ah, also twrp 3.4.0-0 doesn't work either. i get error 7 with it and can't install any roms. using 3.3.1-0
I'm out of ideas sorry I said before I'm not expert hope you'll find a way to fix it
The most bothering issue for me in AEX was my handsfree the microphone didn't work in WhatsApp and the other bug was a noisy voice call so I've preferred R.R over AEX and of course R.R has much more customization
I forgot to say there are to fixes.zip for R.R pie in ICEY_S kernel thread just check it you can find it there and use latest pre release one only for Z00T

just tried rr pie, crashes immediately, bootloops or stuck at boot logo. just as bad as aex pie. is there a way to fix these issues?
I don't know pal sorry mention your problem in other threads hope you'll find a solution
