How is VoLTE on this rom with T-Mobile USA? I see earlier people had issues with VoLTE breaking call support. I don't want to go back to stock (Google camera junkie over here), but I'm finding T-MO really relies on VoLTE in some places, and it's effecting my phone's ability to be a phone.

I used it on t-mobile for quite some time. and I never lost volte. it seemed to run pretty well, but the data speeds were terribly slow. T-mobiles data service is terrible in my city.

Interesting. Ok I should try that.
What about wifi calling? I never tried that with the stock rom, but I'm told it should work.

Please, take your time to do your builds. There is no need to hurry.

Is AFH slow as hell for everybody else or I'm the only one lucky?

Asking for PIN on first boot

Hi,

Just rooted and installed This ROM on my 2 years old Moto G5 Plus.

On first boot its asking for PIN but I had no PIN configured... moreover the Link provided to download ZIP file to resolve this issue is not working..

Can you please provide an alternate link to download this and make my Moto work?

Thanks for supporting these devices which manufacturers had abandoned

Thanks

If you go back into recovery (I'm assuming TWRP), then select "Wipe" and "Format Data", when you type "yes" to confirm you want to continue the wipe will remove the encryption from the data partition that requires the PIN.

Hi,

I did that before installing this ROM, except Internal Storage, I wiped all Delvik, Cache, System, Data, I formatted all these.... to reinstate steps... I did it again twice.. still its asking for PIN after reboot

any other pointers??

Thanks

Your userdata is encrypted.

Format data (not just wipe) in TWRP and reinstall.

No you didn't format. What you did just deleted the files in /data but left userdata (aka internal storage) alone.

You have to use the format option, which clears internal storage.

That zip just deleted the lookscreen PIN/Pattern for accessing the phone. It had nothing to do with the encryption of userdata.

20190902 Build – Boot Loop?

Hi all,

Recently tried to flash 20190902 Build (obtained from crdroid.net/potter) and results in boot loop, can’t get past splash screen. Tried dirty flash over previous version and a clean install after factory wipe, same result each time. Using latest gapps micro, magisk, and twrp 3.3.1.0.

Anyone else had success with the newest build? The 20190827 build seems to work fine and I will revert to that one until an update is released.

Thanks

Drake had already warned everyone that the said build bootloops.

    GAPPS: DOWNLOAD GAPPS

First time installing crDroid to your Moto G5 Plus, or coming from another ROM:

** Make sure you're running a proper working Recovery such as TWRP
    1) Copy crDroid zip, gapps zip to your device
    2) Boot into Recovery
    3) Wipe cache, system, & data (or just cache & system for a dirty flash).
    4) Flash ROM
    8) Flash gapps
    9) Boot up

For root, AFTER you boot into the ROM, you can go back to recovery and install Magisk XX.x (whatever is most recent).

Upgrading from earlier version of crDroid:
The only difference between clean flash as above and upgrading is you just wipe system & cache, leaving data. Everything else is the same. ***Remember to always clean flash before reporting problems. Clean flashing is always the best method of ROM install.
