Try it or don't, it's up to you guys ;)
But the ROM is pretty much the same as Havoc and made by the same dev.
If you really want android 10, this has been a really good one for me.
It's linage nothing like Havoc...
Linage is made with guidelines and certain things that need to be there to get official tag... None of which were present or HAD to be there in Havoc

Hi

I am new to flashing ROMs and attempted to update my mi pad 4 plus using this YT guide with minor differences like using a newer mi unlock program. I also used the havoc OS (26th Aug) and gapps link from the first page of this thread. Apologies, I can't post the link directly since I do not have enough post count.

YT: [ How To ] Root Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 | TWRP | Install Custom ROMs by Life Kommando
Mi unlock version 3.5.1108.44

After completing the steps and rebooting, the tablet is stuck at the Havoc OS circling animation for at least 30 min. I have retried the steps in the video thrice without success.
A couple of differences I could discern between my results as opposed to the video
1) The mi unlock message I got was different than the one showed in the video. I had a message that said something like "unlock is successful, do not need to retry", however, the icon displayed was a single red cross. The video (at 1:08) shows 3 green ticks
2) The video showed the person copying the rom, gapps and su file to an empty directory while mine was with the default directories still present.

Please advice what I can do next? Thanks in advance

Never mind, figured out myself. It was the Size/DPI setting that was causing the navbar to show up on the side in landscape mode. Had to tweak it so that Android thinks it is a tablet and brings the navbar back to the bottom.

I can confirm that OTG+Charging works simultaneously with this ROM. Was pleasantly surprised that it did so :D

Which HUB do u use? I'll tried 2 HUBs now no luck.

There's a ton of neat features in this rom.

And one major problem - if the display goes to sleep, I can't get it to wake up without force restarting the entire device. I had to enable always-on display just so the tablet remains usable.

For me, the battery drains ultra fast if it's off..

You mean leaving always on in the "off" state drains battery? That doesn't make a lot of sense.

For me always on drained 65% of a 6000 mAH battery in 5 hours and in the end it didn't even help. Device was basically unusable.

Force-rebooting was the only possible interaction I had. I had the idea of going into recovery and start wiping **** till things got better. Wiping dalvik/cache seemed to help, though waking/sleeping the tablet is still sluggish.
Edit: sluggish, but usable while plugged in, with always on.
If you turn off the screen completely it dies again.
Sigh.
Guess I'm reflashing.

I ment if I'm leaving the tablet in idle, not using it, just the screen off, the battery drains..
