try flashing stock kernel.img and see, sounds like a kernel issue but I'm not sure about this.

I have a bug of not detecting the simcard with all rooms aosp with all!, a question how do you do to root? when doing them by twrp everything goes well but I think I lose root when I flash the recovery stock again.
I flashed stock kernel on stock rom and wifi stopped working (Turns on but can't connect to any wifi) reflashed aex and same problem again
I'm sure it's kernel problem, sadly i don't have latest EMUI firmware to extract kernel file, Can you help me?

Huawei moments, I'll try do another build of aex with different kernel. It seems huawei has a bad hobby by uploading broken kernels.
How do you know the space of system? I flashed 2.87gb rom(phhson's arm64-ab-vndklite-gapps.img) but I did not encounter with problem. (I don't know what "vndklite" is)
In twrp says the system partition size, can you share the link to that room?, i am not sure what is, i think is for developers, not sure.

I flashed in fastboot mode then factory reset with stock recovery. I didn't use TWRP.

I was wondering and extracted the stock rom (v. 91.0.115), system.img has 3.26gb space.
yes i have try both methods, but fail it says that fail to sparce system, in twrp says not enoght space.
Nah just asking about a potential lineage 17 build with newer patches, but I came across your post that the kirin 970/hi6250 device tree wasn't good for our device.
I can help you test if you'd like to. My dad just changed phones so I can use this as a testing device.
I'm having troubles with the flashable zip roms, but system.img flashing through fastboot works fine.

this is te best room for me, good battery life same as stock and a loot of customizations.
1.you must download the room that is system AB, if you download system A it won't even install or you will be left in boot.
2.once you have downloaded the room you must extract it to get the .img file.
3. the room must weigh less than 2.4gb, more than that it is not possible to install it because it is more than the space of the system partition of the p smart, I still do not know how to expand that partition :c, for the same weight I have not been able to install gapps with any room, I've been using aurora store as a replacement and youtube vanced, all without problems.
4. you can install the room through bootloader mode with the command "fastboot flash system imagen.img", if you do so you must have the original recovery installed, and remember do fastoboot erase user data before install it, and after installed enter recovery mode and do a factory reset, and after that you start normal.
5.if you do it through the twrp recovery, it installs normal as any room, just remember to do the wipe the system, data, cache ..., also do not forget that after using the twrp you have to return to install the original recovery or you will be in bootloop.
